THEME SONG - PSALM 133
This psalm, although small, is so rich in truth. Let’s read it in its entirety. Psalms 133:1-3 says, “A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”
This psalm of David celebrates the love and unity of brothers and sisters in the Lord. It is GOOD, as the right thing to do. And it is PLEASANT, as giving pleasure to those who live in unity with their brothers and sisters. Ephesians 4:1-3 tells us, “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; ENDEAVOURING TO KEEP THE UNITY OF THE SPIRIT in the bond of peace.” True unity is the work of the Lord. We are exhorted to KEEP that unity that He creates.
