I play samsho 2019, but my comment stands; the things with tiers is that it's easier to play with them because their entire move list has advantages that the rest of the roster doesn't have, or can't compete. Umisho went for a traditional character (if that's applicable to strive) and it paid well. Sol afaik wasn't that good, but in season 3 he got improved. But at least isn't happy chaos.

Really hope ArcSys actually nerfs WA in the upcoming patch. It's just way too strong on some characters. Round start should not lead to a wall break + hard knockdown + positive. Also risk gets built way too fast with wa block strings.

Cuz, Some of them are very consistent top tier. They lead high damage combo. Sol has no weakness because of Wild-Assault. On top of that, the game gets visibly more snowballs compared to the last game. Also, the game never has a proper ranking system because of the tower system. Low skill player discrepancy will always be there. You have people who hate characters that are not their own.

I dunno why you mention Goldlewis having "never been a top tier before now." That's not relevant, is it? We've been in Season 3 for a long while, he's clearly top tier, and not for reasons most players find fun. WWA needs a nerf because it's an overcentralizing mechanic with insufficient counterplay. Same thing with Nago's beyblade and HC's blue wild assault. Sol and Slayer don't have overcentralizing mechanics really, they just do so much damage that people often feel like they didn't earn it. I'm a long-time meta complainer, and I love the game. I don't want HC, Nago, Sol, Slayer, Goldlewis, or anyone else to lose much of their sauce. I think leaving them top tier would be fine. You're right that there're always gonna be a few. I just think progress is a good thing, and saying "it is what it is" doesn't keep a game fresh and alive.

If this game has air recovery leo could have escaped. Also you can do this crap in Xrd without air recovery even midscreen. Clean hit dp damage should be reduced but the next patch will be battle balance.
