Tone wise thats a pretty good comparison, just doesn't have the same range, but also WAY easier to transport.

Anthony Carrera I wanted to initially say kalimba (thumb piano), but the mechanic are different. But they're all percussive instruments
@AnthonyCarrera7 жыл бұрын
yea it sounds similar to kalimba too, mechanically totally different. That is one thing I love about these kind percussion instruments though, they all relate because its percussive.

I like what he plays/sings @ 4:10 sounds quite jazzy and reminded me of Take Five by Dave Brubeck, since I could count along in 5/4. Very cool! Although I loved the tone of these instruments from the start, I wasn't aware of what could be possible with them (seeing as I have an insanely poor concept of percussion and rhythm lol)

@Consumer-mu5ry7 жыл бұрын
Keith Klassen go home? What the fuck I am at home haha I'm not at KZbin it's a website. Secondly, nothing I said was sarcastic. Every drummer has watched Whiplash at some point and to me it seems to be a trend that every drummer has to watch Whiplash or else they don't fit in with all other drummers. You don't need to watch Whiplash to be a drummer but that's what everyone seems to think. Finally, I aren't your pal, I don't know you.

Looking for some help! I was wondering if you have ever experienced some buzzing when you hit a particular tongue. I made an awesome 14 tongue drum and every note rings true except for one...! Is there any way to fix this? Any tongue drummers out there have experience with this! It is such a shame on an otherwise beautiful/musical drum!
