Wyoming Jeepers head back into the Bighorn Mountains to do some fishing and visit some historic sites. Particularly, the Tongue River Tie Flume and the Splash Dam used to assist in moving ties down the river. Check out the beautiful scenery with us!

Isn't the history in this one fun? We had a great time hunting down the locations of the last pieces of the flume in the Big Horn Mountains. Thanks for watching. Can't wait for your next visit. I think the Morrison is calling your name in early August.

@@Jasonrcsd Dan's has 3.5 inch lift and 37 inch tires. Elgin has 2.5 inch lift that actually gave a little over 3" with stock 33s. Will go to 35s most likely when they wear out.

There is an excellent documentary on PBS. I think it’s called The Tie Axe and it’s all about the history of those people cutting all those ties for the railroad. They used a broad axe, actually, and that might also be the name of the documentary.

I am going to be 54 this year. My aunt and uncle lived at Sheridan. We used to go visit them every summer (from Illinois) and every other year they would take us and we'd camp at the Tie Flume campground. I was around 7. One of my fondest memories is my uncle taking me on a short walk upstream from where everyone else was fishing for rainbows so I could see the remains of the flume. He was the best. Took us to see the battle sites in the area because I was just that curious. We returned to that campground to look around when my aunt died. To say I love the Big Horns is like saying I love home. Thanks for sharing your video.

Hello, Kitt. Do you happen to be planning with a group coming from WA, OR, and CA? I was contacted by someone, and we discussed doing the Morrison together at the end of July or early August. Unfortunately, I get many messages through my social media and looking back, I can't find that person or message. Can you ask the organizer to message me again to bring our conversation to the top of my feed if you are in that group? Thank you. And, thank you for watching Wyoming Jeepers! Stay tuned; we are releasing another video today!

Hey, Kitt. Did you make it out to our neck of the woods this year after all the flooding in the area? Maybe the Morrison will be open next July. It typically opens on July 16th, but with all the road damage, no one worked on it this summer. Who knows when they will fix the road.

Loved this! I had an idea from the Man From Snowy River to help show how steep some of these hills are. They filmed from an angle on the side of Jim going down the mountain. The trees growing straight up give the impression of how steep the hill was.
