To anyone who has an ear to hear I am delivering a very important message in regards to new tongues and the Holy Spirit Baptism. It was JESUS who said that His followers would speak in new tongues. Read with me Mark 16 starting in verse 16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned, and these signs will follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons, they will speak with NEW TONGUES, they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly it will by no means hurt them. They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.”
When a messenger of GOD preaches the truth of JESUS Christ and when people hear AND believe, the Holy Spirit may baptize them right then and there with the baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is tongues and prophesying. I want to read to you one example from Acts chapter 10 starting in verse 44; “While Peter was still speaking these words the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word and those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also, for they heard them speaking with tongues and magnify GOD. Then Peter answered, ‘Can anyone forbid water that they should not be baptized, who have received the HOLY SPIRIT JUST AS WE HAVE?”
I want to read to you how Peter and the early apostles received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I read from Acts chapter 2; “When the When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance, and there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven, and when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born?
The next few verses explain which languages they were hearing them speak in, and then look with me at verse 11; “We hear them speaking in our own tongues, the wonderful works of GOD, so they were all amazed and perplexed saying to one another; ‘What could this mean?” Others mocked and said; ‘they are full of new wine…’”
Before we keep on reading on in this passage I want to address the SOME of you who believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is solely/exclusively speaking in a tongue that is unrecognizable to men. It IS clear that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the tongues that happened at Pentecost were KNOWN languages, it was NOT unknown, and that Baptism was unique to those men at Pentecost. Different men received it differently, however it was similar in the fact that they spoke with a tongue and they also prophesied. BUT NOT EVERY SINGLE TONGUE IS A LANGUAGE. Every single language has to have a tongue, but not every tongue is a language, at least it’s not a language that is known to men. THAT is why the Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians chapter 14; “For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God for NO ONE understands him, however in the SPIRIT HE SPEAKS MYSTERIES.” This sort of tongue is the prayer language which is a gift of the Holy Spirit, but the Apostle Paul made it clear that for some this gift is NOT as i...
