Thankyou for your appreciation, but we do not have tutorials on video, because we strongly believe that traditional martial arts need a good teacher. That is why we go to China every year to study from our Masters several months. Please take a look at the other videos on our channel and subscribe if you please, maybe one day we could get In Mexico to held seminars or you could come un Europe. 😉

Hi, thanks for watching and for appreciation. We understand what you say and we too do spar and try techiniques in non collaborative situation. But we also know that we are talking about of something different from the sparring training of a combat sport. That is one of the reasons why we have no sparring videos

At 2:40 that is a Dim Mak technique. A quick strike to the Catarid artery can send blood rushing straight to the brain causing an inflicted stroke. If done at full speed it will cause either temporary or perminent paralysis of one side of the body or death. It is very dangerous to strike in this spot for sparring because a burst of blood to the brain is the same thing as a stroke.

Thanks, here is a M Fulin (Fulvio Falanga) sparring in the Wang Sai (professional MMA fighter) gym in China during a visit. Wang Sai some weeks before went to Fulin Shifu M Liang to study traditional styles routines. Anyway, you cannot compare traditional styles to combat sports because they have different purposes and training methods... facebook.com/264581947026971/videos/1103311203154037/

@@zhongyang6022 we agree about the fact tha if one wants to fight in a cage or in a sport combat should practice sport combat. Traditonal styles like chhojiao, baiji and our styles could be very useful, but in different contests. the problem is when someone try to confuse or mixup these two different worlds. Thanks for watching ;)

Sorry to bother you, but after seeing this, I just have to ask you something. Does Yuanyang Quan have something to do with Chuo Jiao? I mean,both YYQ and CJ are said to be linked with mandarin ducks..and I LITERALLY saw you do those mandarin duck kicks in that video...which is weird because on the surface level (at least in my opinion), YYQ looks like a typical northern shaolin long fist style, but upon further inspection of the style, I noticed that it has a somewhat, shall we say, "soft" and "internal" flavor in it. Is Yuanyang Quan a hybrid between (a) shaolin style(s), and (a) taoist style(s)?; like let's say, Tong Bei quan or Chuo Jiao,perhaps? Sorry for making such a long post.
@TongYuanWUSHU
@TongYuanWUSHU 8 жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry for my late answer, but I was in China to study and I could not get Google or YT... Anyway, There's something strange in your question: Yuanyang Quan IS the Mandarina Duck style and it's clear that in the Mandarina Duck Style they use Mandarina Duck Kicks. More, many other styles use the Mandarina Kicking method and Chuo Jiao is one of them... ;)
@SeymoreSparda
@SeymoreSparda 8 жыл бұрын
Oh god, you were actually IN China when i posted my previous comment? Sorry for the inconvenience...I didn't know that there are more that one style that use Yuanyang Tui in their syllabus? I thought that it was only exclusive to Chuo Jiao. I guess what I am trying to say is this; I 've often equated Yue Fei linked styles with Taoism, because they often use a lot of Five Elements theories and movements, regardless of how different they are right now (Fanzi= linear+circular hand strikes focused, Chuo Jiao= kicking/ground focused, Yue Jia Quan/Xing Yi=Linear all-around strikes focused).I don't REALLY believe that Yue Fei created them all, but I can see similarities between them. Nevertheless, from what I've seen, Yuanyang Quan has a lot of postures found in northern shaolin styles of kung fu (Taizu Changquan, Cha quan,Hua quan, Mei Hua quan,etc.).Understandable because kung fu styles rarely come out of a vacuum. The Northern Mantis for instance, while commonly known for its grappling and takedowns, has its roots in northern long fist shaolin and TongBei quan. I am just trying to figure out the origin of Yuanyang Quan,is all...:) (northern shaolin plus Chuo Jiao,perhaps? I am such a nerd,haha:)

Hi Izwan, it's a pleasure for me... I agree with most of what you're saying. The only problem when you're in search of the origin of a style is that the few historical data we have are mixed with legend, so sometimes the more you think you're near to the origin the more you're in a labyrinth... about Yuan Yang you can check our web site www.tongyuanwushu.it to have more historical information. What style do you practice?

Holy shit, I forgot to reply to you these past few days, sorry. I’m sorry to tell you but I don’t even practice kung fu..I used to do silat, though…a style local to south-east Asia..I like to keep tabs on kung fu once in a while, seeing that one of the major influences on silat was Chinese kung fu (others being Indian folk wrestling and hand-to-hand combat styles, among many others)..Plus, there is a huge Chinese community living here in this region…there has always been one, since way way back in ancient times. Furthermore, the colonial era brought more and more Chinese people here, so there are bound to exist newer kung fu styles coming out of and local to this region (nanyang kung fu)(south-east Asian lineages of Bai He, Wuzu, Jow Gar,etc.) The weird thing is, the Chinese people here has long brought kung fu with them (we called it kuntao = quanfa) even prior to the colonial era, and they taught it in secret (closed doors), and yet, it still managed to influence our own martial arts (even on Filipino Kali/Escrima) . It differ from place to place, though…in my area, southern styles are more prominent than northern ones, seeing that the most of the Chinese people here came from Guangdong, HK and Fujian. Heck, my style has a lot of white crane and five ancestors’ postures in it. I see that YYQ has a lot of Digong in it (even more reason for me to believe that YYQ and Chuo Jiao are closely related).What are your opinions on the Fujianese Dishu/Gou quan? A distant descendant style, perhaps?
@TongYuanWUSHU
@TongYuanWUSHU 8 жыл бұрын
Great, thanks for your post, I think Silat is a great system, but the most important thing, as for any martial arts, is to find a good Master. As my Master says, after many years of practice you can see that Gongfu is One beyond the differences of each style... I Love Gouquan and when I was young I used to practice a gouquan exibition taolu (only exibition for Italian competition): kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3WmhYdjbrN-a5o I train Tanglang, tongbei and Chen Taijiquan, I do not train YYQ, I've made this video for my gongfu brother Fulvio Falanga who is also a great YYQ Master, you can find him for further information on www.tongyuanwushu.it

It depends on the person, what works for one person might not work for someone else. For example, I'm a forms person, for me I learn much more from forms than I ever did with MMA. Other people don't click with forms and learn more from MMA. Different ways for different people.
