After listening to both versions Marys and Toni... I must say that Tonis version of the song is much better and not to mention it was LIVE and not via recording. I do like both Mary and Toni but vocally Toni has it hands down. Mary is the entertainer and Toni is a singer with an out of this world vocal range. She is more sophisticated and sultry comparied to Mary. Mary did no justice for this song and this is just my opinion its not LAW!! I like them Both but this song wasn't for Marys voice...

I agree. There are certain songs that if you are NOT a true vocalist that you will NOT sound good singing. T here is one particular song that she slayed the heck out of at the Country Music Awards at their Christmas show. I think it was My Favorite Things - I'll have to look forward. She had those white folks out of their seats cheering and that says a lot as they don't often respond that way to certain songs . I think she did more than one song at this performance. But the one I'm speaking about will knock your socks all the way OFF!
