As a marketing professional, she is launching way too many brands that have no connection to each other and they are launching too quickly. I don't think she is broke but I do think she may not be making as much money as she has in the past, and it shows with the pace of the launches. The Sprinter launch is the one that is the most ridiculous. When I see Kylie, I don't think canned cocktails or drinking (I don't think the same about Kendall either with her alcohol brand). The Kardashians playbook of launching multiple cash grabs is outdated in the TikTok, algorithm-first era we live in today.

Hey, I found your comment very interesting! I'm curious and maybe you could explain how it's important that brands have a connection to each other psychologically? My guess would be that it will seem more authentic that way to the consumer and it 'binds' him or her more to a cluster of brands emotionally?
@hayaglamazonluxe9 ай бұрын
@@matchaleche Hello thank you for responding! Sure I can explain. It's important for brands to connect with each other and have synergies and you tend to find that holding companies own and operate brands that connect (Louis Vuitton, Celine, Dior are all luxury brands operated by the same entity, LVMH). LVMH is believable because every single brand they own operates in the luxury consumer segment so all of their brands exist in a luxury universe that makes sense. Kylie has makeup, a flopped swim line, polyester clothing, a perfume line that seems disjointed in terms of the way it launched and now a vodka line. It is not cohesive and it doesn't seem believable to the consumer that these brands exist in a universe side by side.

Kylie lacks passion. She launches brands for the sake of elevating her finances not because she genuinely cares about the field that she is launching a brand in. We’ve all been told time and time again, to never start a brand for the sake of money. It will never work! You have to have the passion to continue elevating your brand even when it flops because you love it so much. Your passion, drive, consistency, and commitment to one brand will bring you success. And this is coming from a business owner with a passion for my field, I’m currently in the process of relaunching, not building a new brand. Also my dad made an interesting point about Kim Kardashian. Kim is successful because she gets one brand successfully running before starting a new venture. She doesn’t just serially launch new brands. She sees her brands through fully to their success before starting a new venture.

I work in marketing and my professional take on why her brands are unsuccessful is due to the lack of influencer marketing in her campaigns and the lack of quality in her products. She’s always the focal point of her campaigns and seems as if she refuses to give the spotlight to someone else, therefore she isn’t connecting with younger generation. Beyonce and Rihanna always include the new it girls in their promos and campaigns which only widens their fan base. She also hasn’t done anything to reconnect or stay relevant amongst her OG fan base. Being authentic, showing behind the scenes, and more personality on Tik Tok could’ve helped her tremendously. She lacks focus and these days people would rather support people who are passionate about their brands, not overpriced cash grabs.

It's not hard to make quality products when you already come from money and you're well known, if you wanna build a decent brand. She wants quick money so she cuts corners and steals from smaller designers. The olsen twins put out their brand kind of anonymously and are serious about it and that's how they made it big. Kylie Jenner has started too many brands, none of which really align with her except the makeup tbh. There is no intention behind the brands. It all just seems like a SOULLESS cash grab. Also, because her brand is so synonymous with her personhood, and it’s difficult to separate her from the brands because she is quite literally the PRODUCT! Even in her brand marketing across the board (from clothing to makeup, to skincare), she doesn’t even use other models…it’s all only her face and her body. It’s obviously going to be hard for the average person to see themselves using her products when she meets an unattainable/unrealistic standard. With all of her controversies, and the fact that we don’t know her as a person, people aren’t going to want to support her. She continues to miss the mark because she’s simply out-of-touch. It’s interesting because as she’s aged, her brands haven’t evolved. It’s like she’s stunted as that 17-year old girl with no industry experience.

Kylie had products for $21 on her website that were $35 in the vending machine! I'd never tried any of the Lip Kits, so before we parted ways I asked this woman if she had. She was like, "Yes, and they suck!! They make your lips so dry!" We had a good laugh over it, so it's been pretty amusing to see how many people in this video/the comment section agree about the garbage quality. I used to want a Lip Kit SO badly. The answer is really simple: the jenner/kardashians have always opened company after company and closed them not long after, that’s how they make money. They even had a bank card that you’d have to basically pay a fee regularly to have. Kylie had the teen vogue thing, the book thing etc during her teens so these new businesess is not a surprise

Kylie needs to take a break from launching so many brands and really put some intention and time into just 1-3 of them atp.

I feel like Kylie baby had the potential to be a good brand for her with becoming a mom, but I think the issue is her target audience was teens. Fast forward now that most of us are older and are actually having kids. That brand made sense, but to her teenage following at the time being and launching a baby line, it just didn't make sense at the time.

What I don't understand is if a company has done something that damages their reputation (such as Jaclyn Cosmetics and the Lipsticks) they have to publicly apologise, refund customers, etc, serious damage control, yet here was Kylie Cosmetics walnut scrub absolutely destroying people's faces and nothing was said🤨

&& rightt because I can’t actually believe I’m 22 and they’ve been famous basically my whole life if not my entire life from one person in the family to the next… they’ve BEEN profiting off other people (mostly) their whole careers (and mostly ethnic/cultural/coloured or whatever you want to call these people). I used to be hooked on their show growing up. BUT as I got older I also got smarter and realised a lot of thingsss from their image to their vocabulary to theee scammmssss 😭😮💨

I love how people keep saying how Kylie is doing too much. Are we not confused about the fact that Kris Jenner is the grandmaster puppeteer, and is ordering all of these new launches. I mean guys, let’s think here.. Kris Jenners 10% isn’t going to make itself .
@Anonpls4448 ай бұрын
She’s creating a multitude of companies for tax loss purposes. So she can write off her whole life as “business expenses” and not pay taxes. Example: Takes a trip with all her friends/family to shoot promos for her swimwear or seltzer and BOOM, instant write off for all those “business expenses.” She’s avoiding paying taxes y’all, that’s it.
@EmyN8 ай бұрын
What I don’t get is why people bought her products in the first place? Wouldn’t you rather not buy makeup and skincare from renowned brands? Or from people actually from the field? Especially considering the price
@casanova74899 ай бұрын
Kylie reminds me of Rob when he had the sock company. She probably feels a lot of pressure to be an entreprenuer but its not for everybody and its not a thing you need to do for the rest of your life. She should just invest her money and go pick up watercolors or gardening or something. Get into philantrophy and call it a day.

Yes! People keep forgetting the selling point for these brands is marketing and creative direction which is usually done by the people working BEHIND the scenes not necessarily the Kar-Jenners themselves.
