I think the pick me stuff may come from her father (now mother?, I don't want to sound offensive). She was more of daddy's girl whereas Kylie wasn't. We definitely should hold people accountable for making the decision to remain in romantic patterns that are causing them distress. Like, at a certain point, you have to stop and say "I don't want to keep getting hurt (and/or hurting others), so I need to figure out why I'm making the choices that I make so I can put in the work to break that cycle". When she may prefer the more traditionally masculine role of playing the field and having fun while she's young (the womanizing bachelor archetype). We *expect* her to want to get married at start having kids before age 30, because that's the stereotype about women. But maybe she doesn't want to be a mother, not everyone does. Maybe she wants to get married, but maybe she doesn't. The thing is, when you don't want kids, you're not in a rush to get married before 30 and you're less likely to want to get married at all. that makes sense! “dating” is actually a term that was coined in america so that could be where the difference in meaning comes from. i think what Toni meant is that the act of “dating” means physically going out on dates with someone without knowing them well enough to be in an actual relationship. it’s the time where you evaluate whether that person could be a potential partner or not. but of course, that varies based on person and place so it can mean anything! i just wanted to explain from an american’s point of view and how we differentiate between dating and an actual relationship.

The 20's are often like this. Both genders are still growing, finding their niches, and exploring. In some ways, that's a good thing, b/c then, in your next stage of life- 30's, possibly marriage / children, you are less likely to have pigeon holed yourself too early. Remember, important parts of our brains do not fully develop until we are 25, on the average. As a late bloomer myself, I didn't feel solid about what I wanted until I was 29 / 30. Ladies, age 35 is when our biological clock starts to slow, if you want children. And, before then, ideally, you want a solid partnership. So, I would say, be mindful, but don't rush out of fear- supposedly passing you by, or other fear based beliefs. Fear leads to more fear, don't go there! Today we have far more options than we did in the past.

I don’t like the idea of that she SHOULD have a long term relationship by the time she’s 27. I think the timelines we force on women are dumb. Also, having dated a lot of people is not a crime. Asking why she “can’t keep a man” is really weird and gross. Again, we don’t ask these things about men. However; I do think the MEN that dated her when she was a teenager are gross and they shouldn’t have gotten into a relationship with her. I don’t like Kendall by any means but there’s a lot of misogyny when we talk about women dating around.
