I think this came with our pc back in the day and it always would freeze when loading into the Moats level and wouldn't go any further. I played this game so many times trying to figure out if I was doing something wrong. Its so satisfying to get to see it played out fully! Thank you for uploading!

Judge: "...the court hereby pronounces you GUILTY!!! AND SENTENCES YOU TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE DONE! General?" General: "Yes... If we can recover the container, we can make an antidote. My special services have prepared an absolutely perfect plan. First of all, at point Alpha, the capsule... with the condemned man on board of course, detaches itself. Some of those extra details are so cool. Ed's chemical flask "diving helmet" has real transparency. The animations aren't interpolated, but in turn a lot of the cutscene bugs don't happen. Music is at higher sample rates and some of the art seems more elaborate. If there were only a way to play this one with the projected "free" movement on the ground instead of the tank turning, I might even like it better than retail. But maybe it works okay enough with a keyboard.

The BETA test engine for Rayman. I remember this game from my childhood, had great memories with it. It's a shame they never put it on Steam

Woah, I only played the N64 version. I knew this was different, but I didn't expect such drastic changes. The levels are much more detailed here and the game uses the exact same tank controls seen in early Rayman 2 footage. I have to hunt down the Special Edition and get it to run on modern hardware.

It is indeed quite different than the retail editions. There are some ups and downs of both versions, and both of them are great as they are.

This was the beta version of the game, also known as the Special Edition. Special Edition has different versions of their own with slight differences. This one in the video is V8.5.2
