Hello from England, 14 March, 2023.🇬🇧☺️. I am 75 , and never saw this show when it was current ...I don't think it was aired in U.K.?🤔. So it's so good now , to be able to see so many episodes here on KZbin. Interesting to see guests who went on since then to greater fame.☺️. So many funny moments! And Johnny's reactions, especially the " dead-pan " expression , after a comment, or an incident of some kind, like the marmoset " marking its territory" on Johnny's head ..😦...☺️. The impressions were also well done : I loved the confusion of words with " President Reagan " and aide, checking the day's engagements . And the time the mystic ( broad , bejewelled hat), came in , tripped and demolished the desk ! 🇬🇧💕🇺🇲☺️🎼⭐🌈🦉🇬🇧

I met Johnny Carson. When we were in L.A my cousin got us tickets to a taping. However I suppose I was too young to get in, and I was mad and maybe said something i shouldn't have anyways I ended up outside the whole show. But Johnny did a segment where he came out and said hi to everyone who didn't get in and he came up to me and shook my hand and said Hello to me. So missed the show but got to meet Johnny. I don't know if that was on the show but still very cool. They just don't make comedy like this anymore shame. Comedy Gold!! I don't watch T.V anymore no cable but I've been laughing my ass of listening to these shows. Thanks so much for posting it feels so great to laugh like that again. Oh my sides hahaha. Also, back before Woke to pick everything apart. We didn't care if it was offensive we in fact laughed harder then. We never did it in a malicious way but out of pure laughter. You cannot listen and not laugh a real laugh. The world has no sense of humor any more sad and I'm Disabled, Trans and Bi. Was 13 when this aired.
@markjackson64318 ай бұрын
why didn’t you care it was offensive? by the way you describe yourself, you should’ve been extremely offended. makes me wonder what’s going on in your head. kind of weird, you criticizing todays society because it’s “too sensitive”. everyone who longs for these old days are just out of touch boomers who hate being held accountable. you’re weird. these same woke snowflakes you criticize are the reason you are able to be your true self….yikes

I do not watch any talk show currently on in 2022. I cannot stand any of them. I want to be entertained, not preached to. I loved Craig Ferguson, Conan, Letterman until they ended, and now I watch nightly episodes of Johnny Carson on antenna tv just like I did as a kid in the 80's, and I have never laughed more and enjoyed a show as much as I do now.

5:55 - I think we can all guess who that joke was directed at, hint hint Joan Rivers, who around this time was starting to launch her talk show on FOX which caused the ending of Johnny and Joan's friendship forever.
@mikestevenson5768 ай бұрын
Was also about David Brenner, who had just launched. Strange to think of that as a proliferation, but in the 4 channel universe where only NBC had been in the game for a long time, it felt crowded enough to make a joke about the field being crowded.
