A witness has to be questioned one way or the other. They can't possibly be believed simply because they have said certain things. If that was the case everyone would have been locked up. Evidence has to be tested and there is only one way to do that, cross examination, whether u like it or not. The prosecutor and the judge are there for the protection of a State witness.

But were we really expecting the Defence Lawyer to be romantic in her cross examination? I think it was naive of anyone to expects romance in such a high profile trial. The centimetre question was just to perturb the victim so that she can be inconsistent with her response then discredit her testimony all together. That was the purpose.

The participants of the interview must understand that law and moral rules are not one and the same thing. Law is stubborn. Let them first go and study law then they come back for the interview. They don't know how cross examination is done. They are talking nonsense
