An animation producer recommended me to do as much animatics as Im able to, because he told me you could show off more needed skills as a storyteller

I haven’t practiced drawing much but I can do stick figures and outlines to tell my story boards for myself, brainstorming and story boarding will help with my 3d animation stuff I want to get into along with references. Maybe I can find story boarding websites online when I’m ready.

Thank you for the video. This might be a dumb question, but I wanna know if it's alright to add fanwork in your portfolio? I'm still a high school student so i'm not looking for a job but I've been curious about it. Does all the stuff in the portfolio have to be completely original?

So here's the thing about animation storyboarding: for some reason they switched terms around just to be unique and special, but functionally it's identical to live action storyboarding. A "sequence" in storyboarding is literally a scene in a script/screenplay. Int. Warehouse - day type stuff. Now a SCENE in animation storyboarding is a sequence of shots that are connected (ex. Jimbo picks up the pickle, stares at it, eats it) with each beat being its own board. "Scenes" end when it cuts to a new shot. I truly have no idea why there is this difference in terminology and I guarantee the explanation is stupid. Literally every other aspect of filmmaking has these universal terms. As an animator it's needlessly confusing and aggravating. So basically scene and sequence are flipped in live action storyboarding.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” - John 3:16 God bless everyone here. Jesus loves you and died for you on the cross. He did this to wash away the burden of sins, and if you open your heart to Him, He can take away the burden of your sins and give you a peace incomparable to anything in this world. ✝✝🙏
