Pretending to be off-balance on a unicycle is probably a 100 times more difficult than actually balancing on a unicycle.

yeah, I appreciate the bit about 5 being harder than 4, as it's actually a significantly easier pattern to learn (it's a simple cascade with 2 more clubs)
@Niccolo_Piccioli
@Niccolo_Piccioli 5 жыл бұрын
@@ionceateapinecone It's not.5 is significantly harder then 4, even if the pattern name is the same as the 3 (the cascade).
@ionceateapinecone
@ionceateapinecone 5 жыл бұрын
@@Niccolo_Piccioli I dunno, I've been juggling about 8 years now, and I've always found 4 much harder than 5, same with many of the other jugglers I've spoken to over the years. the only real hard part about 5 is getting started, once they're all up there the muscle memory is pretty much the same as 3, just throwing much higher and working faster.
@Niccolo_Piccioli
@Niccolo_Piccioli 5 жыл бұрын
@@ionceateapinecone the height of the throws and the speed of the rhythm are the major components that makes a pattern difficult. Saying they doesn't count makes no sense.In my experience 4 are uncomparably easier than 5, and i think if asked any juggler will say the same thing, except you and your friends i guess.the only case i could immagine 4 being more difficult than 5 is if you are juggling 4 in a cascade pattern instead of a fountain pattern.If that's not the case, i can say you have unusual difficulties with the fountain.

Oh, fabulous Frank... He's my juggling mentor. In 1987 when I was in 8th grade, a couple friends and I were forming a juggling trio and Frank generously invited us to his home in Berkeley where he met with us for an hour and gave us tips on all sorts of juggling and performing techniques. Seeing his phenomenal abilities up close and personal helped inspire me take my own juggling to a much higher level and become a professional juggler/entertainer. 15 years later, our paths crossed again... and for about the last 15 years we've played pick-up unicycle basketball every Tuesday in Berkeley whenever we're in town. Here's a clip of it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5PJq41uqLmpa80 (we're both on the red team).

There were 4 or 5 of us kids in the neighborhood who rode unicycles. We'd play basketball and street football (of course the qb would be on foot). They were fun as hell. And then I got the Giraffe. Big difference. Scary as hell. Until I finally rode it. What sucked was we would ride everywhere. So if I fell, I would have to stand on someones car and hold on to the eve of their house to get going. And then my dad (who didn't ride) suggested I do what this guy did. That loosened me up a lot. I could crash anywhere. Then I sold it and used the money for Rush tickets. Still have my little one though. And I know you don't care. This just brought back some memories I felt like talking about. Don't act like you don't have childhood memories nobody cares about.
