I also haven't exactly been feeling the "Christmas spirit" even though I decorated and put up lights and everything. (We still have to wrap gifts and stuff so maybe that'll help but idk.) I don’t know about anyone else whose worked retail for years, but it broke my Xmas joy. I don’t ever feel excited about it, only anxiety and stress. It’s not even a warm feeling of family, its obligation and financial stress, especially in Aus we have Boxing Day sales and the abuse retailers cop is immense. After 15 yrs in retail I’m finally free of it this year, but my heart is still cold and small like the grinch on Xmas. So I do hope, like you, it will come back next yr. I feel you on the xmas spirit. It is the first xmas without my gran here. She is having her first Christmas in heaven. And people are bringing out the grinch in me a little when all I want is for everyone to get along and be happy, or sad, joyous, or whatever as long as we are together getting along.... but of course the drama, oh, the unmerry drama. It's just my husband and me this year and we're not feeling festive either, we haven't put up any decorations or the tree and to be honest we can't be fussed with it. I think videos like this are important because often times those of us without cosmetology training are going to find ourselves in similar situations and to have a professional be trying these things - good outcome or bad - helps a lot. I, myself, understand color theory and such because I'm a makeup artist (the look is a massive slay today btw 😍) but many don't. You gradually working your way through colors with the knowledge you have, I believe, is invaluable! So every "fail" is just as important as every win! All information is welcome and useful! You've got this! 💖 Also totally get the feeling of it not feeling like Christmas, that was me last year when I was very sick. New routines and all manner of things like that I fully believe impact how we feel about the time of year! I'm sure by next year, now that you guys are somewhere safe, you'll enjoy it even more because you've had a full year of being able to fully relax and enjoy life more!

When bleaching your roots… just apply bleach to your roots, leave the ends out and dry(no bleach) and try using a processing cap. A lot of the old color (while still dry) on the ends will disappear. It happens every time I bleach only my roots and don’t even pull the bleach through. Your outcome was pretty!😊

I think you’ll need 3 different colors (maybe using a demi or semi) to counteract the existing colors. Use blue for the orange, purple for the yellow and a pink for the greenish sections. The pink should be the lightest as the green is pretty light in there

Omg!!!!!!! I put the XMondo supernova on my orange/gold hair last night and my hair turned out this strange color! It was slightly gray/green on the middle, roots where ash blonde, and the fair tips where purple gray! I initially put ”Color lux” copper shampoo on those ugly pieces and it’s gold orange now with a slight ashy/purple undertone! Edit! I didn’t it yesterday! Odd how we did the same thing! 😂

Mixing the blue and purple to hope it hits multiple shades to neutralize them isn’t going to give the results you’re hoping for. You’ll want to create tones to cancel out/neutralize based on the color that you have. The orangey colors should be a more true blue, at a similar depth as the current color. For yellow, purple. For green, red.. etc because otherwise you’re getting a more poor result on all of different tones than if you targeted sections! I’d love to see you dig in to trying that!

I am with you on the lack of Christmas cheer. I got a late start on things and it made me stressed. Then a few days ago I had an abdominal CT scan for a completely different reason but it showed I have a large tumor on my Kidney that looks like renal cell carcinoma. It's a large tumor. My first appointment to start the process of if I'm going to die is on December 26th, the day after Christmas. I can think of nothing else. Will this be my last Christmas? Will the gifts I give be the last? Does going on with every day things even worth it? Sorry, I know this isn't the place for all this. I just need to vent and don't want to bring my family down this time of year. Fucking sucks.

I think it'd definitely benefit you to go in with a blue based purple on the yellow sections and a more true purple over the orange sections. Your hair is two very different colours and will need an actual colour correction for both colours rather than putting a combination of blue and purple tones all over and hoping for the best
