Hair surprise perhaps but not a fail. Your hair isn't a weird texture, it didn't fall out, you did get color out, and now you know that color oops with the previous colors isn't your ideal choice in the future for those particular colors. It could've gone swampy brown/green or just refused to be removed too. And now you know how you look in neon yellow if you want to try neon yellow in the future. 🤷‍♀️

Use the colorwheel to get a neutral base. Neutralize it with red-violet!! Red for the green and purple for the yellow since it seems to be a mix of yellow and green. If its difficult to find the perfect shade, take a photo of the hair thats close to irl and then invert the image to get the opposite color. Then just mix away to get it as close you can to that.

The second round of color Oops def helped get out a lot of the green!! It's now nearly even even though it's neon yellow. It sucks for dying over, but honestly, I don't hate it. Maybe a bleach bath and a purple toner would be enough to make a good canvas for dye? I'm sure it's too late for advice now, but I hope you sorted this out without too much stress!!

I left a Dr Pepper can out in the sun and the red faded, it was a rich jade color. This lime green is what made the copper so shimmery. It was there the whole time, it's so fascinating.

It's terrifying that color oops doesn't smell awful to you anymore! 😂🤣 I cannot stand the smell of it. I used it (1 round only) and immediately washed, scrubbed, and applied deep conditioning mask, then heavily fragranced hair oil mask...overnight. the next day did xmondo color and it still took 3 weeks for my curls to no longer have that yucky rotten eggs smell. 🤪

I used color oops on purple semi-permanent and it totally removed all of the red pigment. However it left behind dark, dark blue, like almost black! I kept calm though, did a gentle bleach wash and luckily almost all of the blue disappeared in like 5 to 10 minutes. Color oops can definitely unpredictable on semi-permanent sometimes!

You should definitely try the argon oil semi permanent hair color remover!! I love it and it worked SUPER well for me, I mixed all of the bottles in it together and it got my color out in 20 minutes!

I've been through this and gotten a lot of the yellow out with vitamin C, but I almost always need a bleach bath to get back to blonde. Good luck! 💛

Ok, first of all, you look STUNNING in bright yellow, I wish you could keep it a couple more weeks. Instead of bleach based colour removers, why don't you try a gentle bleach bath (7-10 vol max) when you bleach your roots? You'd have much more control over it.

Color Oops does have a formulation they say is for semi-permanent, demi-permanent, and permanent hair colors. If you have to do a bleach-based color remover I would suggest using a really low volume developer. I saw one hairstylist use 7 volume developer doing a color correction.

I have to say, I really like it; the end result looks very intentional. With bleached roots and a glow in the dark neon yellow, it would even it up fantastically. I understand your need to have it neutral for an upcoming video though. ❤ Wishing you the best of luck sorting it out x

oh my god, this same exact thing happened to me last year. i had purple hair and i put permanent red dye on top, which i didn't like. so i tried removing it with color oops and all of my hair turned green! like, very bright swamp green. in the end i put orange on top to cancel out the green and it actually worked

If you're still bleeding out a lot of color use Dawn dish soap to wash. I'll shampoo once or twice with it and then use a moisturizing or hydrating shampoo and conditioner after. The original blue Dawn is great for removing extra bleeding color.

To get rid of the color oops smell you might try washing with baking soda to neutralize. Just make sure you rinse very well and use conditioner after.

I had such a hard time feeling bad because even bright yellow looks amazing on you!! And your eyeshadow! LOVE! I understand you don't want this because of the sponsorship, but if it wasn't for that I would tell you to just rock the yellow for awhile! Also, possible vlog idea... swatching different brands, maybe in a few different colors, and washing them with color safe shampoo for a couple of weeks, maybe a whole month, and sharing the fading results. I rarely change my hair and I know I'm not the only one who wants a brand/color that will not fade. At least I think I'm not the only one. 😁

Yep! This happened to me when I tried to remove my orange. Except it was WAY more swamp green. I had purple underneath the orange and I think that is what did it. 😬

I had a simillar ish experience w my extentions recently. Died them Cranbaby w Lunar Tides and then decided to remove it with a Colour Oops dupe and they went fricking BLUE 😭 not even greensih blue like deep cobalt almost navy blue. Good things that's a simillar colour that I was going to dye them anyway. Its like it removed all the warm tones but couldn't do the cool ones, which looks like it happened to u too girl 😭 but Cranbaby is obviously a lot more purple toned. Hope you can get it out in time but i it doesn't look bad at all 🖤🌈

The pravana color remover had a lingering smell. It turns out if you use neutralizer (like from a perm, which you can buy separately) it will neutralize the smells ☺️

I used the Argan Oil Color Remover last week for the first time and it was amazing. It worked really well and was gentler on my hair than Color Oops has been. I am mostly gray and naturally had dark brown hair. Over the years it's gotten very harsh on me, so 5 years ago I did Color Oops all over and dyed it a medium brown instead. Last week I did the same to step down from medium brown to dark blonde. It turned out so well! I used a lot of what I've learned here as far as color theory, etc. So, thank you Aislinn!

i did the same thing. i had red on my hair i had sea witch on it previously i had it faded quite a bit. i put chocolate cherry on it. i used color oops and it went bright blue ( think cobalt blue)

Last time I used Color Oops on Blue/Teal hair, the color completely lifted before the wash, but the moment the water touched my hair, it turned back blue. There was no amount of rinsing that was going to get it out! It was there to stay once again. Pulp Riot Blank Canvas was the only thing that got it out. I know it is beach based, but if you have to go that route, it is an option! Mind you I had blue, not yellow. So grain of salt as they say lol Best of luck!!!
