tbh it makes sense why 2k refer to it as current and next gen. It makes the next gen version sound newer, more innovative, offering something new. All that plays into marketing and shi by making last gen sound...not as dated, and current gen sound like its still something fresh even though these games only change once and thats during the leap from one generation to the next

Truth be told, I had the Xbox and ps5 but I got rid of them after I got out the military cos I didn’t have time to play games as much, then I got the Xbox one and played old gen and ngl it’s a vibe. But the reason why most ppl haven’t upgraded is that they don’t see a point to. Games nowadays feel more like an investment than a hobby and a chore rather than a good time, and in this economic climate, it’s just not worth it just to hop on the game for maybe 2 hours a week or whenever you do manage to get free time

I hate that people don't understand the definitions of words. The current Gen system is the PS5 not the PS4. PS4 is old Gen it's been that way since 2020.
