The fruit is called " Satlait" and the nut is called "soh-ut" in our language..pnar language... Meghalaya...we used to the exactly the same when we were kids...we would go to the jungle to collect these kind of fruits and nut...childhood memories bro ❤

That sour fruits is called Khula and that brown nut is called Thüzüse in Chakhesang dailet Nagaland nut is very tasty when half fried without any oil 😂

I guess, we have different names for this fruit among the nyishis of Arunachal. In our place(yangte), we call dokam balam. It's sour and one of my favourite wild fruits.
