The variance is much higher at places like these since nobody folds!
@rrrgaming14853 жыл бұрын
If nobody folds then you should adjust your game accordingly doesn't make it higher variance
@HuggiePoker3 жыл бұрын
@@rrrgaming1485 There's still going to be more variance with that many players in the pot, even if you "adjust your game", as evidenced by this vlog.
@mrburns8053 жыл бұрын
@@rrrgaming1485 how is there not more variance? The pots are bigger and your hands have less equity multi way. Doesn’t mean you can’t crush the game but in these situations your sessions will likely be more swingy.
@TimHowell19853 жыл бұрын
@@mrburns805 more swingy=high variance but I get what your saying. I think in these games you can flip the typical win small lose big situation. Just play for the nuts. Lots of hands that play well multi player. Can't be playing for one pair even if it is an over pair.
@mrburns8053 жыл бұрын
@@TimHowell1985 that’s not exactly how it works. A lot of value is gained from dominating someone’s one pair if they play too wide. If you only play for the nuts you will fold out too much potential money. Even slight equity is still +EV. Also, some situations are just unavoidable. Maybe your 9Td that plays well multi way gets cracked by someones J3d who limp called UTG. It’s really all about learning your table dynamics and exploiting tendencies. People who play too wide and don’t iso have tons of leaks to exploit.

We all get caught up in the winning and losing of poker; the run bad and the run good. But that shot of your dog so excited to see you arrive home is what life is all about. It's easy to lose sight of that after a rough day (poker or otherwise).

Yo lex, even though this session wasn’t a good one, I appreciate you showing the losses. The other vloggers don’t show as many losses (no offense) I feel like them other people show how great it is to win vs how much it sucks to lose even when you have a monster pre flop…..Thanks man keep up the good work.

I’ve watched to the 7 minute mark ~ how you can maintain your cool after all those just terrible beats is beyond me. I would be screaming in my head and steaming so bad. I would probably have to take a walk. Man poker is brutal. Okay back to the video praying you hit some run good now.
@HypnoAndOtter3 жыл бұрын
This video was oddly therapeutic for me lol. I'm also a regular in the DFW poker scene and just came off a session where I managed to drop 1300 in an hour to 4 different beats/cooler situations in 2/5 NL. All you can do is laugh it off, trust the process, and know the results will balance themselves out in the long run.

i'm a little 4-8 LIMIT player who plays for the enjoyment of the game. your videos are always entertaining and, more importantly, educational. what happened tonight (in this episode) was a once in a year event. 2 of the hands in which good pocket pairs were beat happened on the LAST *&^%ing card (RIVER????_). how often does that occur???? i know enough avbout poker to say both your hands had at least an 85% success rate. the dog was ecstatic to see you and that is the most important thing!!!! keep your head up and mind focused on the prize!!!!

2:29 Is there some reason you splash your bets out? It just forces the dealer to play catch with a bunch of checks rolling around. Slide out a nice neat stack and make it easier on everybody imo. Also, you now have 30,000 people watching you, and certainly a meaningful percentage of them are learning their live poker protocol from you (and other vloggers). Teach good habits and make it easier on the dealers, who have a tough enough job already. Thank you!
