I share your confusion with Strawberry Shock! I might just take the plunge and buy it as Lisa’s lipstick colours seem to be relatively easy to adapt with lip liners and glosses. Luckily I live in London so there’s the option of visiting the pop-up. I just can’t travel in this heat at the moment, let alone stand in a queue.

@@alnsubuga Oh you are so lucky to live in London! What confuses me about strawberry shock and keeps me from ordering it is that I love it on Kate's lips (you can see the cool undertones) but I don't like it on Lisa's lips (I find the warm tones come out a lot from Lisa's video)...

@@pamelarighetti6610 Me too! It’s gorgeous on Kate and other KZbinrs like Claru Beauty. Unfortunately I haven’t seen any videos with this colour by people with my skintone (currently around medium/deep 28 in Lisa’s foundation) and I’m not 100% sure my monitor is showing the true colour on her deeper skintone models. I’d highly recommend DM’ing her team on Instagram to get their advice. Lisa also has lots of photos from different people in her stories. I really hope the colour works out for you!

Hi Pamela! Understandable - it’s so hard to tell how each colour will look from person to person and actually on the lips can come off differently from just a swatch. I do find Strawberry Shock to be a touch warmer than Velvet Ribbon(quite blue), but still not a warm red. Maybe more of a tomato red 🥰 🥰

Hi Kate, love all your reviews!!! 😍😍😍 On Lisa Eldridge you’re my go to person! Between ‘atomic cherry’, ‘wonder wheel’ and ‘palazzo’ which you would suggest best? How similar do you think they are on the lips? Also between ‘rose official’, ‘dance card’ and ‘rosy shell’? I own ‘velvet affair’, velvet beauty, painterly, love of my life, velvet fawn, velvet dragon, velvet morning, velvet ribbon, velvet jazz, and kitten mischief. I love kitten mischief, love of my life, velvet jazz and all the reds on me. The rest I don’t find they suit me much. I am fair with neutral pink undertones I’d say. I’m certainly getting cinnabar (not sure if I should go for the lip liner on that one too), strawberry shock, Sunday matinee (I think) and skyscraper rose. The rest will depend on your feedback 😂😂😂😂 So sorry for the long post and if you have the time, get back to me :)

Thank you so much! From the first 3 choices, Palazzo is my fave - definitely the most wearable for me, and if you love Jazz, you’d love it too! With the second grouping, Rose Official is the easiest for me to wear - I think either that or Rosy Shell would work well for you. Great choices, I know it’s hard to choose with all of Lisa’s beautiful shades!! 🥰 🥰

Hi Kate, I love your comparisons video's. I've been thinking about le Mepris because I've seen other videos were it looks really beautiful on the lips of some people with more cooler toned skin. But I have to bare in mind that they had a little more deep skintone than me. And kitten mischief ( a shade that I wear a lot) next to le mepris looks so much more rosy. But on me kitten mischief looks really nice but much more warm toned. And than Meet me in Berlin, so interesting to see that the affaire gloss is so similar, I love the affaire gloss, so I don't need to buy meet me in Berlin, I can get the vibe with the gloss that I already have. Than nice to see your comparisons for rosy shell because you showed me that charm gloss is also similar and I have that one as well and I love it! So no need for me to order that one. And love of my live is the first luxuriously lucent I've bought but after I got kitten mischief, rose official and spirited away I've been neglected that one. It is also close to rosy shell ( just little darker and brighter) but I've revised this one and it is gorgeous on me. I have to wear it more often. And I love that I can see why Sunday Matinee is so special, it is pink but a hint warmer than other colors, it makes it more natural, and that suite me so well. I can pull off little warmth but not to much. I love those perfect not to cool not too warm tones, they are effortlessly wearable for me. ( I realized when my order arrived that I have now 7 of the luxuriously lucent, 8 of the velvets and 2 of the insanely saturated ones. And 5 glosses) ( hopefully the next time I can restrict myself little more, but she is so good in making those interesting shades🙈)

Hello! Loved this video, actually seen it twice now since you have done a great job with the swatches and your research.😊 I was wondering if you were able to recommend any of the new lipsticks or the lipsticks from last year’s collection? I have fair neutral toned skin (with some permanent redness), green eyes and blonde hair. Now in the summer I am slightly tanned so skin tone is more light than fair now. I am something of MAC NW20 usually. I already own her first velvets like Ribbon, Beauty, Muse and Decade but I only tend to reach for them more in the autumn time because otherwise they are a bit too grey or meh on me. I am in my early 40s and have fairly thin lips so anything that makes me look tired or meh is obviously no go for me. Velvet Ribbon is beautiful but I sometimes look too pale or washed out wearing it especially in the winter time. I have been eyeing on Sunday Matinee and even Kitten Mischief and Rose Official but not sure if they would be good colours on me. Planning to order maybe 2 new ones, perhaps one that is MLBB and other one brighter but low maintenance. Have even thought of Palazzo as brighter version. Lisa’s team recommended Wonder Wheel and Strawberry Shock, Je ne said quoi and Sunday Matinee but especially with Sunday Matinee I am afraid it is too dark... I think Strawberry Shock on the other hand would be amazing but autumn is coming so maybe it is not my best bet now. I also have Tom Ford True Coral. I live in Northern Europe so summer is almost over.so sorry for the long text but very much appreciate if you could comment ☺️

Yes, I hope it comes back soon - in terms of colour, I’d say the Charlotte Tilbury Kim KW is the closest. For something the same depth but a bit more pink/mauve, I’d recommend Armani Lip Power 102. I’ll post a comparison of the two on my community board this weekend 🥰 🥰
