I appreciate your effort shown in this video. I don't wear Lisa's velvet lipsticks because my lips are to dry for them but I love her lucent formula and I like the color comparison between them and the velvet lipsticks.

would you think Velvet Duchess and Velvet Myth are pretty similar? I have neither but have always had my eye on Myth, but Duchess is nice too as I thought Jazz would be too warm for me but always liked its old school Hollywood vibe. But I think I would only want one of them, not both. Thanks for the swatches! I have Pompadour and it’s funny; the LE pinks all stand out quite well from each other. I think I will hold off on Velvet Rain until I empty Velvet Beauty and Rose Official, but that’s a beautiful color.

I would love to see a mention of how your velvet collection has "aged." I saw for the first time another creator talking about how her LE velvets from a few years ago had almost all broken, and I'm curious if that's a common issue. When I purchase a lipstick that's this pricey, I have this idea that I'll use it and love it until I'm digging in woth a lip brush.

Up until around this time last year, none of mine had broken (I’ve bought every collection, starting with the original reds and the Summer Pinks in summer 2019). Then I had 2 break last fall and I think 3 more in the winter-spring. Most of the ones that broke were past their 18 month shelf life but a couple were still less than 18 months old. I contacted customer service about all of them and they replaced all of them at no cost, including the “expired” ones 🥰

Another question, Kate! :) Which red do you see yourself reaching for more- Enchantment or Palazzo? Realizing they are different formulas, do you see one of these as more casual?

That’s a tough one! I find Palazzo more comfortable and a great wearable red, but still stronger than Enchantment, so it would depend on my priority - if I want a softer red, very long wearing, but not as moisturizing, I’d go Enchantment but if I’m OK with a stronger red and want more moisturization, I’d go Palazzo 🥰

I bought Velvet Rain but I was wondering if I should get Enchantment, but they look so similar. Also, I was wondering about Pompadour, but it seems close to Wonder Wheel, which I already have and I actually prefer Wonder Wheel's formula. This is very helpful, the most helpful video I have seen so far. I like how you break it down so concisely. Now I see I should have also gotten Sorcery, but I will have to wait for a re-stock.

Found you by looking up the LE Enchantment lipstick, you did an amazing job describing all of these, the best I’ve ever seen, thank you, now I have to order that lipstick, I can’t wear reds really but this one Lisa said anyone who couldn’t wear reds this one would be the one to be able to wear.❤. I love her mattes but one of them make my lips super drying and on a couple they just won’t stick to the circle in on my inner lip. Weird, have you had anyone mention this. Hi Kate, thank you so much for the comparisons, I love how you compare the depths and tones of these lipsticks! How do you compare the lucent formula to the K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula of Charlotte Tilbury? I haven't owned any of the Lisa's lucent ones, wish I could hear your opinion on that

Great question! I find them quite different - the CT formula is more a traditional “creme” type formula and feels thicker and is more opaque (I love that formula btw). The Lucent formula feels a lot thinner and is more sheer/translucent but can be built up to a high coverage level. I find that both are very comfortable and feel moisturizing and wear well considering they are not mattes 🥰

Hard to say. I have partly hooded lids and didn’t have any problems, but I think it will generally behave similarly to other shadows when it comes to the lids! 🥰 🥰

Hi Kate, thank you so much for this helpful video! ( My LisaEldridge package is on his way to me, I had a mail that it is finally been shipped today) I think you do these comparison videos really well. I was debating between Enchantment and Rain. Bye seen the swatches and your explanation for each color I think Enchantment will be a good choice because I like spirited away a lot, I wear it more than rose official ( even I was convinced that this would be my favorite because of the cool tones and the similarities with my own lipcolor) And I have Sunday Matinee and almost every lipcolor from Lisa that is close to Rain. So I think Enchantment is a little more adventurous for me. ( Rain, Sorcery and Enchantment were the 3 were I was interested in, after the first review videos I told myself Sorcery would be to dark and to brown for my liking. But seen your comparisons, I think Sorcery looks like such a great shade. I understand that it is sold out really quickly. But I will enjoy my Muse and Affaire lipstick a little bit more. ( those new shades from the liquid lurex are already on her website to watch, but you probably have also got the mail.) ( Sometimes I found the LL formula a bit to glittery for my liking, I notice that I can get glitters under my eyes after a long day of wear. And even with a primer they can fade on me after wearing. But I love the colors so much. Because of the colors I am tempted to buy more.

Great to hear your thoughts, Inge, and I think that’s good reasoning for Enchantment - it is stunning and I do think if you love Spirited Away, it will work really well for you! Yes, I saw the new Lurexes on her site (haven’t gotten the email yet). I think Cressida and Viola are not as sparkly as some other shades 🤔 I’m a lover of sparkles though, so I’m loving the look of Titania 🥰
