Its up to the climber to bring replacement rope which they can pick up for free from most of the climbing shops.

Cool video ! Is the heat so unbearable mid of december after 11:00 am ? Is mosquito repellant spray enough to keep them away during climbing ?
@dungbugАй бұрын
@@epos_rising we found the heat hard to cope with in mid December, I recommend planning to climb early and be done by 11. Mozzie spray helped but I felt like I was just sweating it off. I've been pondering mozzie coils or similar, they may help the belayer keep focused.

@dungbug i see. Is it possible to hire a climbing teacher to secure a beginner while he climbs ?

@epos_rising I am not the best placed to advise on guides, we were independent and did not use a guide however there were many climbing guides around so I would be very surprised if you can't find someone to help.

So helpful! Just a question on how you got to the crags, were they all located at Railey East? Or did you have to do a fair amount of walking from Railey to the crags? How was your accommodations? Did you stay at Railey East? Or Ao Nang?
@dungbug10 ай бұрын
We stayed at Railay Phutawan Resort which I would highly recommend. It was clean and friendly, reasonably priced and quiet. We walked everywhere. Aside from a few special cases requiring a boat every crag is accessed by walking. The walk is not far and generally not hard though the heat does provide a challenge. Railey East has easy access and popular crags however the bulk of the climbing is not immediately in RE. That said the distance between East, West and tonsai is negligible.

Also where did you get the 2024 guide book?
@dungbug10 ай бұрын
We got the book at the literal first climbing shop we found; maps.app.goo.gl/8EVcSNLyBFQRcqgN6 There are many climbing shops so finding a book should not be hard.

This is unnoficial guidebook. The official one is sold in Basecamp on Tonsai.
