Best cornerback in the NBA. He been jumpin routes since his rookie year in Boston. What most people don't realize, is some of the best defensive plays TA ever made you'll never see a highlight of. Why? Because many times he does such a great job overplaying that his guy never even touches the ball. Used to do that to Kobe a lot.

Absolutely incredible how hard he works on each individual possession. Constantly denying the ball, fighting through screens, and locking up players with greater size. Anticipates extremely well.

offensive players, yea yea, we see them everywhere.... but defensive players? defenders that are so good they shine above others for their defense?.. very few... and that deserves huge respect, huge fan of tony allen, i would watch memphis games just for him.

If he could make his layups and his open 3s at a high rate he would be in the top 5 SGs in the league. Defensively he is probably the best wing (I think he is better than Kawhi). Offensively he is not even mediocre though...

I miss him in Boston. He never cared who he guarded or how much taller they were. Dude was a hound dog on defense. He'll be up in Durant and LeBron's face and didn't care.

I dont necessarily have my top 10 best defenders list, but I have my top 5 in no order, Scottie, Rodman, Jordan, Hakeem, and now Allen. He just deserves to be here. He is an amazing defender. If the one who excites me on offense is Curry, then the one on defense is Allen. I really see the "lockdown defense" in him
