I agree with you man. This was a more of a family scene than a love kind of thing. This was a more wing there for each other than a romantic deal. They lost Kate Todd Jenny shepherd. And at this time Mike Franks. It was just them being there for each other during another loss.

This is such a great scene... showing Gibbs' 'kids' grieving for someone they all loved, Mike Franks. I miss Mike on the show. He always brought an element of humor when he visited. I loved his interaction with the team and with Gibbs. 'Swan Song' was a great episode and very sad as well.

It's not just Mike's death, it's how Gibbs took it (or tried to) and his demeanor up until then that shook Ziva up. She was used to people getting killed and seeing tears, but seeing a man who she was close to lose his mentor and friend, one that the team knew personally too, looking devastated but being stoic about it, was something she couldn't bear to see.

I am watching this in 2017 and I still cry when I watch this scene. They did a beautiful and wonderful job when shooting this scene as it makes you build up emotions and makes you feel for them. I literally cried for most of this scene. 😭 Like come on. The moment between Ziva and Tony and where Ziva said she couldn't take it anymore got me crying. And then from there water works kept coming. Also the scene where they all hug at the end (excluding Gibbs and Ducky) also really got to me and portrays really well how they are family to one another and help each other out.

I wish they could pull something lie Ziva never died and has been in hiding or undercover for years long case and she eventually comes back which means Tony comes back (because the actor said he would come back if the story was good) and they could be a big happy family!!!

Just FYI for those who are confused: TIVA is the name a lot of us NCIS fans have given to the pairing of Tony and Ziva, and the chemistry between the two of them...it's not a mispronunciation of Ziva's first name, but rather a combination of both of their first names--the first half of Tony's, and the last half of Ziva's: T(ony) + (Z)IVA = TIVA

Michael Weatherly was PHENOMENAL in his portrayal of the big brother on NCIS. the writers let him show that Anthony DiNozzo COULD effectively run the team also, so him staying as long as he did was about him enjoying who he worked with. He could be a goofball .... but he ALWAYS was the big brother for them all. as much as I loved Pauley Perrette ... and Coté de Pablo ... and as much as I miss them both on the show ... the biggest loss WITHOUT QUESTION is Michael Weatherly. and he's doing great on Bull ... so I get the why for his career ... but NCIS couldn't (and I'm glad they didn't) replace him.

To be honest, Mike wasn't exactly that known to Ziva, Tony and McGee. Abby became friendly with him once she met him, but the real loss was felt by Gibbs, who lost his friend, his mentor and his superior. Yet, something about Mike's death left all of the team devastated. Shows you that gruff and rough individuals are true and nice people who help in times of need. RIP Mike, you will be missed.

Beautiful. heart breaking and shows the love between not just the 2 couples who i think should just be honest with each other about how they feel for heavens sake, but also the team, the family. They're grieving over a friend and they're there for eachother when they need it. Ducky stays with Gibbs and they all support each other... beautiful!!

I think I watched from the part in autopsy to the part where McGee and Abby get in the elevator and they hug about 100x over and over again. I absolutely love that scene. I was already crying in the episode because it's one of my favorites. Cote makes me cry...I swear those are real tears. I remember her saying that in Hiatus when she had to cry-she thought of her grandmother dying. I was like oh, dear how horrible. I can only imagine what she was thinking about here. This scene is beautiful!
