Respect to Tony, the way he boxed in those opening 4 rounds was incredible and earnt lot of respect.

I’d hardly call it incredible lol he was showboating in round 3 thinking it was Haye all over again, by round 8 he’s sprawled on the canvas with no idea where he is. @@SiLoMixMaster He clearly isn't on the same level as Usyk but the movement he had early on was impressive! Especially compared to his previous fights. He obviously knew his chance was to put it on him early and get in his head. Like Ward said though, you can't walk around at heavyweight for 2 years or whatever it is and just drop it and fight the very best. Deffo gonna gas! Big Lurch D to be honest being British I just didn’t want Bellew getting creamed. I thought he gave a good showing of himself. He was unlucky to get pinged on the bell in the 3rd I believe. After that you could tell he wasn’t gonna last all the rounds. I know sky talk up the British fighters making out they’re doing better than they are but I thought Bellew was great. USYK was just something else though. In answer to your actual question I didn’t know. I thought he had a chance after round 2 yea but USYK just didn’t get tired or buzzed. He really reminded me of that running scene in terminator 2 lol. Like liquid, treating his opponent like pray and unstoppable.

He was the WBC champ and made a shed load of cash so he is a winner all the way. Usyk is too good and had 4 years on him, so no shame in losing to a better man. matthew u know one thing, im kinda pissed off , it seems this fight was all about the loser , i mean what about the winner. The only person that seems to be giving the credit to usyk is tony everyone else is running the bellew retirement hype. at least usyk wont care since his guys will be giving his props.
@Matmus6 жыл бұрын
Kingdom Soul I get what you’re saying. Look at it this way. Bellew sold that fight at least to English speaking audiences. It was his back story that gave the fight real weight. Now don’t get me wrong I think USYK has a lot of charisma, he’s intelligent, quirky with a great sense of humour (naturally likeable and many aren’t) and he’s an unbelievable boxer but because he doesn’t speak English it’s not so easy to make the fight about him. I’m sure in his country the tables are completely turned. I do hope he learns a little more English because I think he could be a really big star of the sport and I would love him to do well. Just my two pence worth.
@GrandMagicOfRegnum6 жыл бұрын
Matthew I know whatu mean, more then just ure two pence worth its the truth but i wish the winner was the guy who won and not the guy who made everyone think he was gonna win, i think im just salty about the commentary aswell. I had to turn it down because of how horribly baised it was , pissed me off to no end. But yh if he had fought any other cruiserweight in this country it would have had no hype so i know what u mean.
@Matmus6 жыл бұрын
Kingdom Soul yea the sky sports commentators were/are biased. I don’t mind that so much cos well I’m aware of it as you are. I like the idea that we’re proud of our own, you have to remember they’re all friends with Bellew, you wanna see you mates do well-it’s hard not to let that effect your judgment. I think USYK did wonders for his credibility and name in the sport with this fight and I also I think he picked up a lot of fans that night including myself. Still I can’t argue with you about it as you’re right.

My prediction was spot on. As evidence by earlier posts on KZbin. I predicted Usyk would break down bellew and knock him out in the later rounds. The many who have been enchanted by the match room and sky propaganda were led to be-LIE-e that bellew would win regardless of what Usyk has achieved in such a short time and forgetting how skilled a boxer the man is. So many feeling sorry for bellew as if he is a family member of a best friend. Bellew is deluded and two faced. A loudmouth cocky arrogant dishonest fella who is one of the greatest shit talkers since David haye. He got totally schooled last night and he deserved to be knocked I am sure many would agree. Usyk is on a whole different level to bellew. Bellew was utterly deluded to think he could beat Usyk. Many forgot that Usyk is not David Haye. He is levels up from Haye. That is the power of hype the power of propaganda.

If you paid to watch that fight last night and you were expecting Bellew to fight the fight of his life, as he said he would, well if that was the fight of his life it just shows, as Bellew said, he wasn't on Usyk's level -- that this was a hype job promotion ... Bellew didn't even go 12 rounds. Mairis Briedis gave a better performance than Bellew against Usyk. Bellew's fitness was obviously nowhere near the level of Usyk's. No where near it! That's the truth. Bellew was a good fighter - Usyk is an elite level athlete ... the promotion of this fight was just bullshit ... not a mismatch .. but trying to convince the public Bellew was anywhere near Usyk's level was ridiculous. All throughout the promotion of this fight I doubted the claims Bellew made about how he would push Usyk to the very limit. Eddie Hearn and Bellew + Sky hyped this fight beyond the norm. And that fight last night was nowhere near the level of elite competition - it was a one sided exhibition.
