Watching Roy Keane play was pleasure tbh. Kept it simple and played with passion. It is not by chance that Forest and Man Utd had massive boosts in results and performance when he was on the pitch for them, a passion and toughness you don’t see in the modern game. He would certainly make my toughest players XI along with a lot of the old Wimbledon “Crazy Gang”. Simple way of play, but certainly effective, team leader, midfield general, tough as nails, fearless, all words you can use to describe him but it was also clear he had a father-like quality that help nurture the likes of the Neville brothers, Giggs, Beckham, Scholes and Butt which brought United the success they enjoyed. Dammit Roy, I am a Liverpool supporter, why couldn’t you have stayed in Nottingham?🤣
