I met Mr. Bennett at a recent book signing. He is gracious, charming, a supreme musical talent and the best interpreter of American Popular Music other than Sinatra. He always gives credit to Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and composers Gershwin, Berlin, Mercer, Arlen and Rodgers. No singer still performs at this level of excellence at age 86.

Mr Tony Bennett, the man is a class act, a truly fabulous singer, so much so that Frank Sinatra claimed he was the greatest singer out there, but above that a wonderful man, warm, sincere and genuine, to still be performing at this age is a testament not only to his longevity but also to his unique place in the pantheon of popular music.
