Look at his stats. This is Eddies 7th PL season (all be it he got off to a slow start) and with the hat-trick he's now tied his best ever PL season output of 5 goals. 4 in 30 last season. Saturday’s game flattered him tremendously. I expected Arsenal to get closer to dbl figures against Shefield U. He's a 1 goal in 5 appearances striker. Not good enough to lead the line in order to be a title winning team.
@jidf32
@jidf32 6 ай бұрын
You completely ignored the part where he has barely had game time. You say 4 in 30 last season, from those 30 appearances, only 9 were starts. If you look at his goals to minutes in the Arsenal first team and you compare to say Saka, you'd see that he has good output. Good enough to lead the line as a deputy.

@@tournaline3448 Was tempted to stop reading at "how poor his movement is on the pitch" because even his biggest haters will agree that his movement is good and so is his ability to be at the right place. What in goodness is a wrong pass? Do you know what the right passes are? Almost all our players pass the ball sideways and backwards all the time when there are other options, but let me guess, only Eddie passes the ball backwards when it's supposed to go sideways??? About opening my eyes, eye tests are only brought up when people's agendas are destroyed by stats. But let's use this eye test you go on about for a second right? Arteta uses his eyes everyday in training and in games. Him and his coaching staff. You only get to use your eyes on him for 90 minutes if he is lucky to even finish a game. Are you with a straight face going to say your eyes see better than those who watch him play almost everyday????

@@jidf32 The wrong pass is playing the ball to someone with a couple of men on them or to the player who is dragging defenders away to make space for a runner. He simply doesn’t have football intelligence. His movement is the worst thing about him, he never gets into the spaces where he needs to be when balls are pinged across the box - again it is a lack of footballing intelligence. He’s 24 years old. He’s not suddenly going to gain the ability needed to make it.

@@tournaline3448 Every player has men on them. What are you talking about? When we are playing out from the back for example most passes are to players who could be tightly marked. That is literally the instruction from the manager so no, those aren't wrong passes. You're making things up... As for his movement, That is yet another lie. Eddie has the highest number of shots per game in the team this season. And this is in a team who's style of play relies more on wide attackers than it does the centre forward. His movement has caused him to be the most fouled player in the opposition box having won 2 penalties this season which could have been 3 against Sheffield. He has directly affected 5 games this season. The fact that you call what is universally agreed as his biggest strength the worst thing about him shows you're just hopping on bandwagons. Thanks for dodging the question on whether you who uses their eyes for 90 minutes to judge him since you want to rubbish stats think you see better than Arteta and his coaching staff who see him everyday and play him..... @@tournaline3448 Im not missing anything. I've also not said anything about how good or bad Walcott was. I just gave you the factual numbers. Arsenal was NOT a team full of world class talent when Walcott played regularly. If Agbonlahor was such a good player, how come he spent his entire career at a midtable club? Again, there is nothing "miles" apart between the two. Both were mediocre strikers. Also, Agbonlahor only scored ONE hattrick in his entire footballing career, in almost 400 PL games. Nketiah has already got one from 99 games. He's got some 300 games to better his record. If it was that easy, why didnt he score more of them, as Im sure he played some shitty teams also in those 400 games. Those stats were for PL only. Here are the stats for the club in all competitions: Agbonlahor 391 games / 86 goals / 60 Assists Walcott 397 games / 108 goals / 80 Assists.

He never roam away from the centre to interchange position with the midfielders and wingers, that affect our build up fluidity and the ability to penetrate the low block. He doesn’t always drop deep to keep offering passing options, creating numerical advantage, playing short teamwork combination passes, or playing through passes to creating for others. He lacks the Brazilian skills and Spanish silkyness. Whenever we play Nketiah, we are not maximising the quality and quantity of our total possession, ball progression, chance creation and goals.
