I think this was June 9, 1975. I remember watching it the day it aired. This was still at the beginning of the Robin Kennemer story. Search was very exciting that summer. Two weeks later was Morgan Fairchild’s infamous fall through the patio door and the whole summer had Kathy’s life in danger as she uncovered corruption in the DA’s office. Oh, wow! Mom and I (I was just turning 8 at the time) were at my grandparents’ on a Friday and SFT was one of her “stories.” It was the day Tony fell down the steps and I said we had to watch on Monday to see what happened. Long story short, we both got hooked…I loved the Jennifer/Scott/Kathy triangle (partly because I was in love with a boy in my class named Scott😘 ) and Mom ended up watching it till the day it went off the air!

Amazing scene. Behind the scenes according to Mary's book Anthony George had a very short temper and one day he finally unloaded on Mary. Shortly thereafter Tony died of a heart attack.

My grandmother used to love SFT & she loved the Y&R too. But when CBS dropped SFT in March of 1982 & NBC picked it up it was never the same & my grandmother stopped watching it & only watched the Y&R after that. If CBS kept SFT & they didn't kill off certain characters, maybe it would have lasted a little longer

Anothony George he was on Dark Shadows as the second Burke Devlin before this.

I didn't see all the episode but I do recall that Tony had went after a thug named Joey Kimball to stop him from kidnapping his patient Robin. When Tony caught up with him in the stairwell of the hospital, Tony and Joey briefly fought and Joey pulled out a knife and Tony looked wide eyed and startled that he had a heart attack and fell down the stairs. Joey did not bother to help Tony, grabbed Robin and left Tony for dead. I remember Robin screaming at Joey " Look what you did to Dr. Vincent's. Are you a monster or what".

I was watching Search during this time and remember this episode. I wish there were more episodes from 1971-75 on KZbin.

@@Kalika4 I remember that episode. Tony could have been saved if either Bob Rogers or Wade Collins would have got to Joey before Tony tumbled down the stairs. But then also, they would have been in danger too but they would probably have risked to save their friend and colleague.
