Spiritual Growth cost me to be developed and the testing of my faith forms endurance= maturity.

So God has to put us through trials, tests and hardships? Is this a punishment from God? Like life doesn't through enough at us.. I guess I must be a very bad Christian as I seem to have been in perpetual trials all of my Christian life.. 35 years.
