I got the opportunity to start teaching my niece how to play this game because of split screen. We spent about 3 hours in the skate park going over basics and learning how to balance on rails and manuals and she LOVES it! I'm so happy that they kept it in too.

They put it on PC as well. Most devs, even the endlessly praised Valve, tend to cut that out or make it nonfunctional in PC releases. And even better, you can plug in two identical PS4 controllers for instance and they'll both work flawlessly. Tried it with the steam controller though and uh, that'll take some fanangling to get working right because the game doesn't recognize it as a controller (despite windows itself recognizing it's a controller?? weird) But an amazing amount of effort went into this and I cant really complain

the in game mods such as "no bail" are good if you're tired of wiping out all the damn time and just want to have fun, gives you more time to get used to the controls and mechanics, what you can do with tricks, explore the maps seeing what you can grind or jump on, etc. try that.

If you loved this game 20 or so years ago, you will love the remaster. It has everything from the old games plus more. Agree with video reviewer that the create-a-skater needs a bit more variation with body type etc so us 40 something skaters can accurately re-create our beer guts and receding hairlines in gameplay

This game has a huge corrupted data save file issue. I recommend backing up your save every so often so you don't lose all your progress. Its a great game. With the exception of that and that there is no GAP and goal creation in "create a park" I have known people to lost all their progress multiple times

Loved the gameplay, and the nostalgia trip it took me down. My only complaint would be the soundtrack, considering the amount of great bands that are currently working today there was so much room to make the soundtrack even bigger with new stuff.

It such a good remake OMG it bring back so many memories of my mum yelling at me saying you been playing that game machine for 16h straight turn it off and go to bed 😂 when I was 13. I am so grateful for this remake they have done a perfect remake. 10 out 10 form me!

remake?? its actually a remaster. remakes and remasters arent the same thing. THPS 1 and 2 where not built from the ground up (remake) it used the OG code and gave it a facelift and a bit of QoL changes (remaster). remakes of games are never true to the the orginal feel of the games mechanics.

@@Dark_Angel-j9z I play with an Xbox controller just bc it's plug and play. Never tried plugging in my PS4 controller. I think you need some separate software. In regards to cross play, I don't think it will be.

thps 3+4 and thug 1 were the peak of the series. thps 1 all the way to american wasteland were all great games but those three were its height. if they can remaster thug 1 or 2 with all those cutscenes involved i would buy it in a heartbeat. im in vancouver right now on sick trying to get into the slam city jam. i really hope whoever remade thps 1+2 is working on remastering the rest. either way those games still hold up today despite old school graphics.
