IMO unless you’re a JRPG anything past 20+ hours is too much. At that point you’re guaranteeing that you’re copy pasting assets out the ass to try and spread a game out longer than it needs to be.

This game really was something you can just "chill" to. Played for the past 4 hours and didn't even realize it was 1am!! I was just so hooked and mesmerized by the art, sounds and gameplay. This game really wants you to observe and just soak everything in as you explore the world you're in.

Spoiler Alert: The moments I had most fun with this game was being a little mischievous like tripping the robots that walk around the area, or in anthill particularly with a pair of bots playing a game. Anyone who played a table game when cats are around knows their pain when you jump onto their table.

As someone who's grown older and hardly have any spare time for gaming, these short enjoyable games are exactly what I need. Almost every long game that I tried over the past few years ended up left unfinished. Even if I want to get back to them, I've almost forgot everything from story to controls , meaning that I have to start over. Keep small, fun, budget games coming and a lot of people like me will be really really happy.

I loved every last second of this game. I really can’t fault it. I’ve spent ridiculous amounts of time just walking around taking in all the sights and interacting with everything. I’ve walked up to just about every companion and meowed at them to see their reactions. I’ve taken naps everywhere. I really appreciate that they managed to fit soooo much into a shorter game. It was worth the wait and I hope we get more.

Some of them i've seen grow from kittens to adult cats. They got used to me as well, i could see they appreciate me for the care i gave them. I love all animals but honestly i don't really like cats, and that's coming from a Leo in horoscope hahaha.. Cats are cute in appearance and nice to pet and cuddle, but other than that i see no purpose in owning a cat. For me, cats are just like a toy that you play with for a little bit, give it some food and that's it. Like a fish in an aquarium, but a fluffy fish that you can cuddle with. You can't do anything with cats except cuddle, it's like a living fluffy toy. As a pet they are similar to owning a squirrel, rabbit, hamster, bird, lizard etc. just decoration/toy pets but with more personality of course. Very few cats do more than just being amusing. When a cat does something smart and out of the ordinary, everyone pulls up their cameras because it's a rare moment lol.. Not to mention they can be very annoying and frustrating, and also damaging to your property, it's a bit masochistic to own a cat hahaha.. And it feels more like you're serving the cat, as if they own you.. THEY decide when to cuddle and when to not cuddle, and they're only nice when their mood is right or when they need food.. I feel used and manipulated by cats, and i don't like being submissive. But dogs are something else, they are truly your best friend. They are your partner in life and you can do so many things with them. They are like humans with furr, but with even better personality than humans. I'm not religious but if angels exist, they are here on Earth disguised as dogs. They are so pure, kind, intelligent, emotional, loyal, brave, protective, useful for many different things.. Truly divine creatures. Personally i would never risk my life for a cat, and neither the cat would risk its life for me. But when it comes to dogs, i know we would both risk our lives for each other. To anyone who likes cats more than dogs, they've never owned a dog haha..

I can't wait for this game. Finding out it's a peaceful, relaxed pace allowing for exploration is just perfect. I love cats and I lost my orange tabby last year, so it will be nice imagining this is her exploring around and shedding everywhere, if only digitally.

I found out that you could meow to the camera in the beginning and that the camera started nodding it was awesome. honestly really liked this game, i'm usually always feeling stressed out and this game really just got me relaxing and enjoying the journey. The ending was sad but i thought it was kind of too quick. Like there were still more questions unanswered and i hope to see some more closure on the story later. Wether that be and extension to the game, or another 2nd game but i would like to see something. Or maybe the end should stay the way it is as a mystery, as the whole game kind of is.

There's a beauty to a short experience of a game that you just don't see much nowadays. A game where the devs can focus on a simple, though deliberate experience can convey something that larger open-world games simply can't. We've become so wrapped up in having the most entertainment per dollar so that we always have something to do that we miss out having truly meaningful experiences.

this is a 10/10 for me. Had cats my entire life and can say that the animations, sounds and quirks of the cat are just on point. The music is 10/10. The story is just the right lenght for you to enjoy and not be swallowed by the 10.000 side quest that adds to nothing. Great vibe, and played it in one go. Would recommend.

I've given the musician like 4 sheets of music and just slept next to him while he played. The story so far is being beautifully told, and considering that its on like $30-$40, it's amazingly priced. This is the one game I was looking forward to since it was announced. Stayed away from all spoilers and beat it yesterday. It was a great ride and super chill. I'll eventually go back and go for the Platinum trophy but I do hope there is some DLC to show what happens after the ending.

Yes, it did end abruptly! Very minor spoilers: I would have loved a scene where we were reunited with our fellow cats from chapter one. Would have liked it even more if it was interactive (e.g. we could "sniff", "pet" and "play" with them again), and would have been awesome if some of the main AI companions had turned up to say "Hi" (even if we couldn't understand them without our droid).

I was just saying it would be great to have a bit more from the ending. Everything I mentioned is part of the ending, it's just not shown... Still, the ending is well done, B-12's part in it will bring tears to your eyes! Hope you enjoy the rest of the game :)

This was an amazing and accurate review, but I think rather than having a whole new part, the part with Zbaltzar in Antvillage felt a bit short and could have easily been lengthened and played out better! Not every game needs to be a 20+ hour adventure, sometimes a few hour game (looking at you Unpacking) is just perfect to chill too in between killing bosses in Elden Ring. i loved the atmosphere. i finished it in one sitting with my cat sleeping on the couch next to me. i think the length of the game is perfect considering the simplistic game mechanics. if the games was longer, i suspect it would've felt repetitive really fast because there are just a few ways to interact with the world.

After grinding out tedious 120 hours on Valhalla, Stray was a very enjoyable change of pace. The story was really pleasant. A dedicated meow button is just so cool! Really enjoyed Stray. I took my time and ran 7 hours. Loved this game.

I finished playing this game yesterday and as a person who like chill games I recommend. I will say that the points where things got scary were better than I expected after they were over for I am weak about playing horror games. (This is not one its definitely a puzzle/ strategy game). I also spent time trying to get a lot of the achievements and finished the game at about 9 hours. I really loved the art, music, story which made the game really enjoyable. The only big downside sometimes was little glitches for example I had to restart at one point cause I got stuck under a bed with no escape, and the camera movement would get overwhelming at times. But overall it's a great time to unwind and relax.
