Mocap + Dynamic Anim System, they are semi procedurally generated, no other games besides THP8 and THPG have done it, it changes how your tricks look depending on the trajectory of your jump, it was really high tech for the time

I had it for Xbox 360. I really enjoyed it. The world that gradually opened up was cool. I also liked those random trick spots where you could try for amateur, pro, or sick. Some were crazy challenging, probably to a fault, but I still liked it. Was it disappointing to finally make it into Tony's Project 8 team --- which is supposed to be this awesome, globetrotting squad of skaters --- but still stay stuck in your hometown? Absolutely.

I grew up with the PS2 version and I was always quite fond of it.

Honestly it is better than the absolute mess that is the "next gen" version, and it was good enough for 12-year old me. Shaba Games did a decent job with it. Neversoft botched their main version.

Tony Hawk's Project 8 is the only Tony Hawk game of the main series I have not played and I never beaten Tony Hawk's Proving Ground on Xbox 360 (I no longer have an Xbox 360 though). EDIT: I also forgot THPS5 also exists which I never played either and will never want to play but Project 8 is the one I am most least familiar with like I know nothing about Project 8 but I know that the PS2/Xbox version is more like the PS2 Tony Hawk games than the PS3/Xbox 360 version. 16:49 LOL! This is something THPS5 would do.
