I wish the NBA would do a legends game. If skateboarders can do it for one night, then basketball players can do it for one night. It can be fun like the MTV basketball games they used to have. Watching the legends skate is absolutely awesome!

Back in the Daaaay in H.B.....Tony didnt have a ramp....he skated mine a few times. We built it in a field behind the 5 Points Plaza. He was just getting known and he came around with the Thrasher Mag camera crew. He liked our ramp because it had a 10 ft side with 2 feet of STRAIGHT vert and the other side was 13 ft with 3 feet of STRAIGHT vert. A lot of good skaters would come and skate our ramp....ONLY 3 people could drop in on the 13 foot side. I was one :) One day he came with some camera dudes behind him and asked if he could skate my ramp...I said no way Kook! The big kids ( I was 14 or so) made me let him cuz they wanted to be in Thrasher. When Tony started climbing the 13 ft side...I was so so happy...I was gunna watch this skinny, bony little Kook smash his face like I had seen so many times!! He even needed help climbing up and one of his camera dudes had to hand him his board... WT!? When he dropped in I was allllll smiles...until he flew through the air on the 10 ft side after droppin in the 13 ft side. Soooo smooth and in control! I HATED THAT KOOK! He was better than me on my own ramp!! Made fun of him and called him names.....and made bird call noises....But he quickly got my respect when he started winning all the local contests n stuff. Hes real aaaand he can skate....much respect for you Brother! sorry bout calling ya names.

Watching the lady’s Skate is probably the best event, being able to see the trick and then the call out by the announcer is on point. The men I cannot tell what trick it is sometimes( grab or spin…) sometimes, and even the announcer might second guess themselves. @wolfmate is the best on ramp host in the world

It would have been awesome if the commentators had commentated on the tricks during the runs instead of just talking about the contestants' parents or skateboarding in general as if they were on a podcast and not a live competition.

I really hope there is continued growth when it comes to strong women skateboarders in the future because when the numbers are so small and we see the only two female "legends" in the jam not performing great, especially in comparison to the male skaters, it's just disheartening.

They need to balance out these heats way better, Heat 2 of the men destroyed Heat 1 and would argue that all of finals should have been skaters from heat 2. Also Mitchie is gonna be a great commentator if he ever wants to go down that route
