Its not just her though. Its almost all the talent they bring in touted as "a big deal". They bring these talents in and immediately treat them as just another wrestler on the roster. I don't think they're using Okada all too well either. I get Mercedes can't wrestle right now, but you look at how WWE was using Punk leading into Mania, and you look at how AEW is using Mercedes now, they can absolutely be doing things a bit differently.

Jade Cargill started off really well in WWE vs Mercedes Mone in AEW and Mone still hasn’t had a match yet in AEW. I remember when “Paige Saraya” came to AEW from WWE and she was there to help build the women’s division to make it better but I guess Tony Khan gave up on her as well.

Mercedes and Sayara is probably the only program that could have any interest in AEW’s women’s division, but I wouldn’t blame Sayara if she never steps in the ring with Mercedes after getting her spine fractured once, especially by something that looked to be done on purpose. It doesn’t seem like putting all one’s weight into a double legged kick to the base of someone else’s cervical spine could be done accidentally.

Despite the fact that she is still injured and not cleared to wrestle, she wasn't good in WWE, she never got a run in WWE, never had a successful title defense. It just shows you what WWE thinks of her. She can be a good heel, but her CEO gimmick is so bad. It was trash in Stardom especially when you're calling yourself the CEO on a roster that's got elite talent much better than you.

Mercedes should have never been hyped up as this "game-changer". Mercedes does bring value and can elevate any women's division, but not as some top megastar talent. She works well when paired with the right talent like a babyface Bayley or a heel Charlotte. And even when she was a babyface in WWE she still kept that bossy attitude, it worked because Cory Graves was always bad mouthing her to build that heat. Everyone in AEW is just going with the flow calling her CEO. Have a heel commentator unfairly question her character to get heat. Beating her up like a sympathetic babyface doesn't make you want to cheer for her with how she's portrayed

The AEW system is the big issue... they Overuse all of they known talent to where they just turn into every one else, Jericho, Moxly, Danielson, Copeland, etc..... In wrestling you still need larger than life characters.
