Tony Lema | Highlights | The Open at St Andrews 1964

The Old Course at St Andrews hosted The 93rd Open Championship in 1964, where player who had never played in Britain, let alone St Andrews, won the Claret Jug. That man was Tony Lema.
This championship saw the return of six former Open winners; including Peter Thomson, Bob Charles and Gary Player.
The legendary Jack Nicklaus also played a huge part of the Championship, finishing runner-up just two years before his maiden Open victory.

Funny…I love watching these classic players because every teacher today teaches pretty much the exact opposite of what these great players did. I guess they were naturally gifted
