that's how a good villain should be though tbh a movie/show/comic stc. is only as good as their villain two of the weakest movies in the mcu are thor 2 and iron man 3 why? because of their weak villians (and ya'll can argue other points of why you don't like them, i actually enjoyed these movies but i think because the villian was so weak/unclear they suffered) shang chi would be a vastly different film if the villain wasn't portrayed in such an amazing way and it's not the other actors being weak, it's that the villain NEEDS to be the driving ore and the whole movie needs to depend on that villain

SPOILER . . . . . I hope they find him again in the same place Wanda would find his kids, alongside with his wife this time! I think his instinct of his wife being trapped inside the portal/multiverse in the cave was correct. It's the same thing how Wanda can hear her kids voice. If Wanda can eventually find her kids, so would wenwu and his wife. Might be his wife from other universe or something.

From sympathizing because he was so obsessed with his wife, and then I hated him for blaming his kid for the death of his wife, all of a sudden I cried by just looking at his expression before his death. The man projected his feelings really well. I can feel what he felt without even trying. Dude is awesome

I don't think we need to keep carping on the "Asian representation" bit, especially interviewing them outside of the US. I think it is important to let Asians in Asian countries know that in western countries, Asiams are very often neglected. Something Asians in Asia don't understand until they live in the environment. The affirmative action in education completely f-up the Asians. Admission isn't based on merit, but skin color. I know you're getting annoyed about how hard they're "pushing" Asian representation, but sometimes that push is needed. I remember when Black Panther came out, and everyone was celebrating the cultural significance of the movie (rightfully so). But I never saw anyone complaining about how they were "pushing" black representation too hard. Maybe there were, who knows. But how come this is different? Why Shang chi specifically? Maybe what you're complaining about, is the very same reason this movie had to be made...

@@zoebug Asian Cinema has its own play ground and an impressive one at that. This stupid narrative is gentrification in motion. Inception was a remake from HK top grossing release for one. I'm sure everyone knows that Asia is the biggest continent by land mass and collectively, Asian is the biggest population. So that's enough representation for us cultural enthusiasts.

Thanks, naming actors that made their bones in Asia first before crossing over. How about actors born or raised in N. America that are very under represented? Name a few not named John Cho or Steven Yeun that’s lead a Hollywood feature film without making their name in Asian firsrt?Hollywood has long ignored Asian Americans in their films or represented them in a negative manner or had a white person play them. That’s the point of this kind of representation.

Unlike actresses in China, Awqwafina didn't have plastics surgeries and she can act, unlike Liu Yi fei.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. This life isn't all there is, heaven and hell are very real, but Jesus Christ loves you and can save you. If you will ask Jesus Christ with a genuine heart to please forgive all your sins, and come into your heart and please save you, he will save you and you will soon know how real he is. God bless.

Simu Liu does not have a popular or attractive visage from Asian's aesthetic point of view at all so there are hardly any echoes generated. Without Tony Leung, nobody would buy a ticket to see the movie.

Tony Leung meanwhile was actually less well known in America than Awkwafina so that's a dubious take.

"Indian jealousy" detected. But u have a consolation prize : indians actors actresses very good in dancing, and indian movie producers directors very good in copying : just look at the amount of good Korean movies indians copied from.

这电影水准和审美都太差了,还不如刺杀小说家。美国电影要是都这个水准,那中国电影全方位超过美国电影只是时间问题。
