Despite how things ended I really do think Elvira loved Tony at one point. It's a whole lot to drop on a person at one time, to tell them that you love them, that you want to marry them, that you want to start a family with them. Elvira could've said no, she could've told Tony he was crazy, she could've done anything else. But the one and only question she asked was "What about Frank?" And I honestly think the reason she asked this is because she did care for Tony, but she knew Frank was dangerous and jealous, and wouldn't give her up without a fight. And she was right, Tony openly hitting on Elvira in the club pushed Frank over the edge and he put out a hit on his own man. But like Tony would famously say at the end of the film, it took an army to kill him.

Now that I'm older I'm realizing that Elvira was not right for Tony and their relationship is over glamorized and not true love at all. She was just in love with the lifestyle and not Tony at all and was just hoping from drug dealer to drug dealer. I'm sure Tony's intentions with her was more pure but if he wasn't the hot shot he was she would NOT give him the time of day at all. Them breaking up was so realistic because Tony realized she's just a junkie and didn't have real value in her life.
