Very exciting! Your predictions were pretty great. I haven't seen a lot of the current big shows as my last NYC trip was in December, but hoping to see a couple at the end of May though I don't have nearly enough slots for all the new musicals so will probably have to base it on figuring out what is most likely to stay open longer for a future trip

The Outsiders should be around for awhile! It’s got a very strong following! I would see Water for Elephants and Stereophonic and Illinoise. Illinoise is closing at the end of the summer. I have a friend who loved Hell’s Kitchen, but I am not drawn to it.

I've seen most of the nominated productions, and in my opinion, it was a weak year for new musicals. Illinoise is wonderful, Suffs is good, and I'm seeing The Outsiders on Sunday (fingers crossed). Other than that, I was largely unimpressed. MOst suffered from VERY poor books (and the nominees in this category show it). The new plays this season, however, have been great.

What did you think of The Outsiders. I loved it. From the fanfare, I think it’s Between Illinoise and The Outsiders for best musical. I have not seen Illinoise yet. But I wonder if they will vote for a concept musical.

I have heard that many think this was a mediocre season for musicals and that the plays over shadowed them this season.

Did Hells kitchen get all those nominations because it’s associated with Alicia Keys because I heard that it wasn’t that great of a musical at all. I’m pretty sure they were better musicals than that.

I've also heard negative reviews from people who have seen it. Not sure how much Alicia Keys' name affected their number of nominations.
