I am a fan of musicals, but occasionally will see a play. I saw Appropriate recently and in 50 + years of theater going I can honestly say this play makes my top 10. The play itself is so well written, you are laughing and crying at the same time...also gasping at some of the revelations. Sarah Paulson gave one of the finest performances I have ever witnessed. Corey Stall is quiet through most of the play, but when he has his "big scene" at the end of act 2...WOW! Devastating! The entire cast was wonderful. The scenic design in the last few minutes of the play I will remember always.

My late fiancé wanted to do the same thing he was older than me early 70’s and I was in my late 50’s ( for some reason I attracted older men ) he didn’t have any family so he lived alone and I had just gotten out of a relationship a year before and I really liked living alone something I have never done so I agreed with him sometime’s you just don’t want anyone around. He passed away 9 year’s ago before we could get married after that I still lived alone and decided I didn’t want to date anyone either because you don’t have to anyone and if you don’t want to clean or do dishes you don’t have to there won’t be anyone to complain about anything ‼️👍🏻 so I’m all for doing what she is doing you have your own space and you don’t give a crap 💩 about what anyone think’s 🤐

I saw the play and although Sarah was not too bad I wrote her a 10 page email of where she fell short, where she overacted, how she could have improved her delivery of certain lines and how to better achieve the character she is playing.
@TheMrchuck20007 ай бұрын
I’m certain Ms. Paulson was deeply honored to get your ten-page critique of her performance. I’m certain she read that email many, many times, then incorporated all of your suggestions into her performance the next night. A ten-page email from a stranger to an established theater professional is always a gift, not just to that artist, but to humanity as a whole. You have truly made a difference; I bow my head in shame when I think of your commitment to excellence. I mean, what have I done to compare? I’d better get to work… so many long emails to write! Meryl Streep, David Mamet, James Earl Jones… so many people need my notes, too!
