You have no idea how happy i would be if DMC got the RE remake treatment, not only would fantastic games like 1 and 3 be amazing to look at and play with that level of modern flare polish and graphics, but also the ability to remake 2 and 4, not only letting them make 2 a good game but also actually being able to finish 4.

If you think about it, a DMC1 remake wouldn't be hard to make, they could easily re-use alot of RE8 and RE4 assets for Mundus castle, and DMC5 assets, mechanics and animations.

*SPOILERS FOR DMCV I always imagined that if Dante had used the Yamato to spilt his demon and human halves- like how Vergil did-that Dante's humanity would manifest into the ultimate gunslinger that could still kick demon ass even without his powers. It's with this video that I now realize that this just makes him Leon, and it fits perfectly. Also, a cross-over between these games would be interesting to see. The only thing that would concern me is Chris trying to convince Dante or Vergil to continue the Redfield bloodline. I don't want to see a little Tony Redfield running around.

Leon is actually Dante's humanity personified EDIT: Recently I played RE4 Remake, and the knife parrying mechanics in this game makes my theory even stronger about Leon is Dante's humanity personified. Leon actually inherits Dante's Royalguard, though he Royal Blocks with a knife but yeah

Fun Fact: DMC 1 was supposed to be THE original RE 4, however, the developers had new ideas and DMC was set aside and given further developments as a separate game that grew to be the franchise that we love alongside RE.

I would actually really love to see they REimagined the first original DMC game into a whole new level of a survival horror game, featuring Dante aka Tony Redgrave as the main protagonist with no power, special abilities or whatsoever. Just a pure human who struggles to survive against real demons in a Resident Evil REmake gameplay style. Taking place in a far more darker version of Mallet Island and reboot the name of the game into “Residence Of The Devil” or simply “DEVIL”. Dante, as a special agent like Leon, having more serious personality from DMC2 version, set in a different universe of DMC, going through a real survivor horror while facing against real demons with far scarier appearances of them with very eerie music, very scary looking enemies, gothic ambiences, and awesome boss fights. Have Trish as the second playable character/protagonist and plays like Jill Valentine while Lady as a supporting playable character like Rebecca Chambers.
