Larry is such a good interviewer and Tony such a great interviewee. Great conversation!

To me, he can be a good interviewer, but often, he is not. A good interviewer maintains consistency whether they like their guest, their personality, their morals, their ethics and attitudes. Larry doesn't do this when he has a guest which he does not like or one he clearly has no respect for e.g. Dan Bilzarian, Eric Andre. In these interviews, he just fires off questions from his cards, which is unlike what he does in this interview where he allow Robbins to talk, and Larry just maintains a fluid conversation with him. My point is Larry lacks consistency which makes me think he judges his guests, and I think, a good interviewer, a fair interviews, keeps his own judgements from affecting the interview itself so that the audience can make the judgements themselves.

I have lost count of the number of people I know who have spent big money on this guy's books and cd's etc and after the initial rush of enthusiasm find themselves in exactly the same situation years and years later. I am not knocking Robbins, he is a likeable fella and he talks sense but I just don't think people benefit from this stuff as much as it's made out.

+Pongo Umbongo Because people don't work on themselves every-day ! You need to be consistent every-day you must have a game-plan , and 99% of people do stuff when they feel like it ! His methods WORK

+Pongo Umbongo It's n different than the guy going into a gym for the first time wanting to build muscles. He goes hard for a few workouts and then quits. Are you going to blame the gym or is it his lack of drive, his fault? All Robbins can do is give his best and inspire people but they need to make a choice whether to follow him or not.

In truth, what Robbins recommends works only for people who are already successful. These bunch of people have strong motivations. For the rest of us blokes out there, we need to know what is inside our brain that works against us. I strongly suggest you look for John Asarraf if you are the average guy out there like me. Forget Robbins, he charges too much for all the common platitudes you can find in all the self-help books.
