No, how many times does he need to say he doesn't want the talk about his contract? How many different times does he have to say he doesn't want to talk about his contract? How many different ways does he have to say he doesn't want to talk about his contract? I get the feeling he doesn't want to talk about his contract. So I don't see why he has to keep saying he doesn't wan to talk about his contract. They never should have put this video up of him saying he doesn't wan to talk about his contract so we din't have to see and hear him say he doesn't wan to talk about his contract. I just don't think he wanted to talk about his contract. Ask him about football, golf, his family, his wife, his car, his house, his college career, anything but 5 minutes about his contract and how he doesn't want to talk about it. Get it?

He is uncomfortable talking about the contract bc very few people can relate to it. He understands that having that much money is not in the norm. Answering those questions would have only hurt his image in the general public. In my opinion, he did the right thing by staying humble and grateful for what he has earned.

@Andre Johnson You know darn well he is only one person and his o-line was truly trash. Not to mention the defense caused him to constantly have to score over 30 pts. a game to win, and usually had to try and make comebacks. Don't. Just don't ya know? It's a viewpoint with absolutely no knowledge or any sort of examination as to what was going on with the team, which has more than one player on it usually incase you were unaware.

I would say the difference between Tony and Dak is that Tony made magic happen with little to nothing at times. Dak has had a great Oline, good RB and average to above average defense. I think Dak made big strides as a passer this year, but he couldn’t bring the team back from 10+ point deficits. Tony would almost always make a game out of it even when down. I mean they did get blown out once in a while 09 to Brees and to Brady a couple years later I think. Dak and the Cowboys got blown out like 4 times this last season alone. Obviously as a couch analysis observation I think Tony is humble and led with his abilities, determination , toughness and resilience. Dak has had good to great teams since he entered the league and his wins are trending down every year. Coaching is part of it. But I think he may not be the leader we thought he was. Physically he is improving as a passer. Travis Fredric is retiring, Tyron Smith is passed his prime. They have a young star in Collins and Martin is still playing well. That Oline is not not what it was even three years ago the running and passing game will suffer because of it. They definitely need to address that and the d-line in the draft. But my guess is the team will be less talented and will reflect in more losses for the next three years or so. I am ranting but I am a Romo fan. Dak has earned some respect from this fan (not like it would matter to him as I’m just one fan) but he has proven nothing. Romo deserved his spot back when he was healthy back in 2016. The only way I will ever like Dak is if he wins a Super Bowl with the boys. I just don’t see it happening. I honestly thought every year that Romo was quarterback that the boys had a chance to go. I don’t feel that way with Dak. To be honest I was hoping the cowboys would sign Teddy Bridgewater and let Dak walk if he wasn’t happy with 28-30 million a year.
@josephhinton9716
@josephhinton9716 4 жыл бұрын
Andre Johnson Dak has usually (not always) had better overall teams and for once was blessed with some defenses that were okay/good statistically. On paper his teams typically look better and are expected to perform as such. Higher expectations because the talent on the roster is superior.

Romo is the best announcer. Period. At the end of a game with no huddle the guy knows what the team driving down the field is going to play call before they run the play and he usually always gets it right. He adds flare to TV sports announcing and that is refreshing in a field of a bunch of dull gum chewers.

Man that contract non conversation was awkward. Graham was acting like he was about to ask Tony for a loan. There’s nothing wrong with Tony saying that he was excited that CBS had that much faith in him and that the first thing he did was call his wife and his immediate family. He then should have said that the money or his financial situation will now allow him to continue the great work that he is doing with his foundation and other charitable causes.

We are all sheep. Tv tells us to like this guy and we all say he's great. Obviously anyone could do that job. Have you all forgotten??? This is the guy that took the legendary cowboys to losers that couldn't make the playoffs.

I think the numbers are insane, but I gotta say: He is by a mile the best. I know football, but you can always learn something from him when he is on air. He is that good. Well prepared, can read the game and can explain it in a way everybody gets it. The only other broadcaster who had that was Madden.

To sum up this entire boring ass interview, "What can I say, I've just been very lucky". Never watching a Romo interview again.

i believe he handled that segment of the interview very well. It has to be a very uncomfortable situation knowing that you're sitting besides a HoFer in the broadcasting game (Nance), yet to be "lucky", "fortunate" enough as he termed it, due to no fault of his own, he's able to capitalize on a tremendous opportunity.

Tomorrow was never more than a mediocre QB at best and he is at best a mediocre commentator. I still don’t understand how any of these guys whether on the field or in the booth are worth that much money. I mean they make more in a month than most people make in a year and they are way more essential than these prima donnas. They all come out of college and make way more than 80% of the population and they have the nerve to hold out and demand 30 or 40 million a year or they won’t show up, well try flipping burgers for a while.

Romo is not a very good sportscaster. In fact, he is awful. Compare him to Dan Fouts or just about anyone else except Brent Musberger.
