When I was about 14 mid 90s he was in a episode of The X-Files called SOFT LIGHT. SEASON 2 I'M SURE.. He played a scientist who's shadow came to life and was killing people. I remember watching monk for the first time going oh he was in The X-Files lol. Not to mention Ted Levine who was Buffalo Bill in The silence of the lambs ❤

They certainly don't make shows like that anymore. I mean, how many Emmy awards actually had real competition since this era? No wonder a decent but overrated show like Modern Family kept winning 5 times in a row and even mediocre sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory get Emmys now lol. Now if that show aired back then I wonder how it would've turned out.

Just started Monk during quarantine... such a terrific show so far. On episode 6 season 1. Glad he won the Emmy he is so fantastic. Also, I love all the other characters specifically Sherona. I'm gonna keep watching
