I think Kurt is changing. Last year, he would have cursed out the reporter. Here, he's all smiles about a great race and finish. Even though he was upset, he contained it when it came to the media. I'm not exactly president of the Kurt Busch fan club, but he is really earning my respect.

To me it seems like Tony backed out of the gas and Kurt just kept it in. If he had checked up for Tony, so he wouldn't hit him, Kenseth would've probably have hit Kurt and made him lose spots. Kurt did a good job with the media as well.

Car is sweet, I was at Darlington and Talladega the past couple weekends, awesome racing. That Dega finish was incredible.
@douglaskenney387711 жыл бұрын
Busch haters should stop spending time bashing the Busch boys and start getting back to the races! The two have both showed signs of reformation and are now even kinder. Even Kyle Busch took responsibility for an accident at Talladega that ended up with Kevin Harvick. No doubt he would be unsure about apologizing to KH in 2011 if it happened but you must admit they have reformed and now can we get back to the races for a dang change?

Being from Colorado, obviously I like Kurt Busch, since he's our hometown driver. I've also liked Tony ever since I started following NASCAR, because he won the first race I ever watched.
@AEMoreira8111 жыл бұрын
That's really a product of short-track racing; I wonder if Tony Stewart even saw a replay. Kurt Busch really has taken that #78 team pretty far...another good outing for that team.
@DillonMurway9 жыл бұрын
This is why you never mess with Tony!
@AEMoreira8111 жыл бұрын
All Kurt Busch did here was the bump and run---typical short-track racing. Losing his ride at Penske really humbled Kurt a lot, and he's having a pretty good season at Furniture Row this year (14th in the standings right now, 13 points behind Jeff Gordon---another driver who has had hard luck this season---for 10th place)
@keatondavenport360011 жыл бұрын
There is no doubt he has matured. I think that was more because he had to if he wanted to stick around. It still seems a little too forced to me though. It's almost awkward to watch his interviews now because it seems kinda fake. haha. But you are definitely right; he did handle this the correct way.

If you aren't in the top 10 in points 11-20 in the points are eligible for the two wild card spots, which the two drivers with the most wins get the 11th and 12th spot, so that's what he was talking about.

"Ten laps ago this car didn't have a scratch, now it's destroyed" because you destroyed it...Also if you don't get Tony was upset then why did you run into the back of Kenseth for doing the exact same thing?

Alright alright alright.. It comes down to this, I love both drivers they both bring a twist to the sport and are both awesome drivers with incredible talent.. I do feel that if Kurt had a better ride he would have some more wins.. Can you agree with that? No doubt he has anger issues but its pretty funny as a fan to listen to the rants. Tony has his rants every now and then too.

I think it's just frustration for how bad his season is going. I have an idea for Tony, get rid of Danica. Anyone notice that any team that Danica has driven for has had a major performance dropoff? This was also the case in IndyCar.
@Roushfan511 жыл бұрын
Not only is he matured but he is become likable! One day in the media center (I think in Charllotte) he had the whole room laughing. This is the first time since he left Roush Racing I can honestly say I hope Busch goes to victory lane.
@retromario9611 жыл бұрын
It was different. Kurt gave Kenseth a little tap just to say "Hey man I didn't like that". Tony sent the same message but ran Kurt into the wall.

Neither one wanted to give an inch.. Reminded me of some old school racing. Hated it that Denny hurt is back tho.

I don't disagree with that from a driver's perspective. Nascar is much more barebones. From a spectator's perspective, however, I'm not much of a Nascar fan anymore. The V8s are just more interesting to watch.

'I don't know what he's upset about' says the person who went after Kenseth for the same thing. Okay for him to do it, not for anyone to do it to him. Tony's the same way. Hell all of NASCAR is nowadays. So much shit after the race and just giving their crews more work to do, "Boys Have At It" is getting out of hand.

@richardgrace45002 жыл бұрын
That’s not why I a;ways hated Stewart... I always hated Stewart because he never had an issue wrecking someone and/or putting them into the wall but the moment someone did the same thing to him he would bitch like a baby and just whine and complain nonstop like a ruling drama queen... it’s like back in the day when Ryan Newman was about to win a race and dale earnhardt was behind him and dale gave him a tap on the back quarter panel and got him lose and when the reporter asked dale what happens dale said “all I meant to do was to rattle his cage” and When the reporter asked Newman what happened Ryan was basically like “I guess I just got loose there” even though he knew exactly what happened but the next race dale was about to win and Newman was behind him and Newman did the same thing to dale that dale did to him the week before and when dale was mad af but he didn’t bitch or com-lain because he knew he always did the same thing and had done it the week before and when the reported asked Newman what happened Newman ended up quoting dale with “I just meant to rattle his cage”
@BackRowRacing9811 жыл бұрын
No kidding. I wouldn't say he has finally stopped, but it seems like he is starting to be a bit more low key from the media in general which is a good plan.

Look, Kurt has turned into a class act since 2011. But Kyle on the other hand is still disrespectful to his crew and his team. Kurt has a huge amount of respect for Todd Berrier and the Furniture Row crew. All in all, Kyle is still acting like a 12 year old and Kurt has transformed himself into a great and respectful driver.
