@TheMur2812 жыл бұрын
the two have a history of conflict. In this race (lap 305) Bowyer made mild contact with Gordon, giving him a flat tire. In the next corner Gordon nudged Bowyer (who held his line a little too well) and sent himself into the wall, not resulting in a caution. This event happened as Gordon was being lapped. Gordon intentionally wrecked Bowyer for revenge, eliminating him from championship contention (though he would need a small miracle to win) which is why Bowyer's crew is mad.

Yeah Right! Nobody was going to die. Plus I think Gordon did exactly what has been done to him many many times. He was just up front about it and did not try and hide behind calling it an accident. he stepped up and said he did it on purpose. Most NASCAR drivers never admit to crashing into someone on purpose. It happens all the time many times per season. I admire Gordon. It's about time someone had the nuts to stand behind their actions.

Jimmy had 83 wins and Gordon has 93. The they didn't have playoffs when 3 was driving and Gordon would have 5 or six championships if they hadn't started the playoffs. 24 is goat. How Jeff went about what he did may not be the best way, but it sure did get the point across. I'm surprised at how long it took for this to happen. Bowyer has been racing Jeff this way all season. And as I said Clint was one of those mouthy back woods boys who was a jerk on the track. So Phoenix was just an accumulation of frustrations. Both drivers were and are very Talented at what they do. So you think that a hard hit is required to cut down a tire? Last time I checked tires were made of rubber which isn't the strong against sheet metal. I've explained this to you but you continually ignore it, with the area of Clint's car that made contact with Jeff's left rear it doesn't take so much as a small rub to cut down a tire.

Funny because I seem to recall the bump having nothing to with the stupid move made by Bowyer. Newman did give Bowyer a small tap but look at the replay more carefully, Bowyer's speed was already up and by the time Newman bumped him he was already moving down to the inside to make the 3 wide move. At Martinsville you NEVER go 3 wide into turns on the restart or under most circumstance.
