Artie was limited in what he could serve Tony. But when Meadow said "Mickey D's", Tony going to fast food, he realized what he could cook would be 100× better. I love watching these 2. I do believe Artie was his friend, even running the risk of getting beat up or loosing Tony's friendship. The soccer coach perv, (that was his wife's influence), not taking the comp cruise trip (again, Charmane's influence), his friendship on a chopping block when he confronted Tony about his family business burnt down to the ground with a gun. Then Tony angry at Artie for loosing money to a scammer who played him during his separation from his wife. Tony could not deal with 2 suicides, couldn't help Gloria, but Artie he could. Tony hated it when people cried. Especially women. Gloria sobbing on phone, choking on her words. Carmella when she got call from Russian. Great acting on all. Tony caused alot of pain. Even AJ trying to kill himself he was angered by. AJ was annoying as hell, as the 2 women, but he knew if he had not come home when he did his son would be dead. His mother faking her crying and emotional manipulations was probably what he compared all others.
