@howard5992
@howard5992 3 жыл бұрын
@@danielvasquez3758 She was also one of the several "wise" moms / wives in the series... along with Pussy's widow Angie and Beansie's wife. They basically knew that the crew was playing a losers game and that they and their families were at the bottom of sort of evil pyramid. Carmela was on the other side, a sort of Lady McBeth (to a degree) trying to absolve herself of guilt and responsibility. Silvio's wife was similar (though she was played a bit more as an air head). Eugene Pontecorvo's wife was sort of in the middle...wanting a new life but trying to hold on to a certain level of status / security. Rosalie Aprile never quite saw the light.

She was one of the toughest characters on the show-choosing a clean, straight and narrow life working but totally having a clean conscience and no baggage. Like she told Artie "Someone probably donated their kneecaps for those cruise tickets." She wasn't a fool and totally burned Carmella off of her illusory high horse.

Artie was limited in what he could serve Tony. But when Meadow said "Mickey D's", Tony going to fast food, he realized what he could cook would be 100× better. I love watching these 2. I do believe Artie was his friend, even running the risk of getting beat up or loosing Tony's friendship. The soccer coach perv, (that was his wife's influence), not taking the comp cruise trip (again, Charmane's influence), his friendship on a chopping block when he confronted Tony about his family business burnt down to the ground with a gun. Then Tony angry at Artie for loosing money to a scammer who played him during his separation from his wife. Tony could not deal with 2 suicides, couldn't help Gloria, but Artie he could. Tony hated it when people cried. Especially women. Gloria sobbing on phone, choking on her words. Carmella when she got call from Russian. Great acting on all. Tony caused alot of pain. Even AJ trying to kill himself he was angered by. AJ was annoying as hell, as the 2 women, but he knew if he had not come home when he did his son would be dead. His mother faking her crying and emotional manipulations was probably what he compared all others.

Anybody remember why Charmaine was cold to Carmella in this particular scene? Was this after or before she catered Carmella's dinner and told Carmella that she slept w/ Tony b4 they were married?

I do like the dark & light brown striped shirt that Tony Soprano was wearing, because when I saw that scene, I started to think that the dark & light brown striped shirt could be a clue to what movie James Gandolfini is going to be doing, which is Where The Wild Things Are. Because his character named Carol, he has dark & light brown stripes.

You realize Artie is Tony’s actual best friend right? I mean he beat up Beanise and provoked Chrissy into attacking him with a fork and even pointed a gun at Tony and in all three situations, he lived!! He’s probably the only untouchable one in the show and that’s because he was close to Tony genuinely but far enough from his criminal activities that he won’t put him away for anything.

Why would you think that Tony died at the end, I ask? The PoV that goes black is not Tony's, it's Aj's, Carmela's or the Audience's. Point is we see Tony then it goes black, if Tony was the one shot we would see AJ and Carmela before it turned black.

the point of the final scene.... and the point of the song is.... "don't stop believing".... dont stop believing that a father will do whatever it takes to care for his family. the entire series is about fatherhood.
@0fficialRatedR

@@CS-nr3vc the entire series isn't about fatherhood moron. You are making a complex and genius show misconstrued. The show is about Tony's two families.

In this show any Italian american has a family of pure Italian origins, showing 4 or 5 generations of "pure" Italian heritage ( just like meadow or AJ) is this common in the USA or it's pretty unrealistic to see in reality?
