I really love the line "But why didn't you just come out with it instead of all this fucking Augustus Octavius shit." because Tony didn't come out with it and was still doing the exact opposite, he isn't speaking directly at all and just gave the random-ass story lol

This isn't factual. Although Darrow was charged with a crime and pleaded guilty to extortion for an incident that occurred in 2004, the charges were not brought until 2009 and official sentencing didn't occur until 2011. So the charges were 2 years after the show ended and sentencing was 4 years after the show ended. Finally, he was sentenced to 33 months of house arrest. So he was not in jail at the time of the show airing.

Yeah, but it's a common misconception. So it makes sense for these mobsters.

One day Borko and his father were logging into KZbin and Borko said “Dad, why don’t we privately upload a Sopranos clip”, and his father said, “Son, why don’t we publicly upload them all.”

I swear. It’s the early seasons that have this kind of feel. Like a certain air of grease and mafiosi. It was all subtle and real controlled feeling. Like every move had its own consequence. The show kind of lost that pizazz after a while. But it kept on being bad ass nonetheless

I miss this show.

Marone does HBO eat alone, HBO doesn’t even pass the salt. Something anything should trickle down to borko no?

Tony is always saying he is juniors favorite nephew. But who else is his nephew?🤔

I wish Jackie was on longer, maybe one season at least.

I thought I was the only one that could make Borko look like that 😂

2:12 Silvio: "Tell [the audience] why this was a smart move." Every season of The Sops is near flawless, but Season 1 had a few moments of "tell, don't show" peppered throughout. This is SILVIO. He's Tony's #2 in later seasons. He should be the second smartest guy in the whole crew. Asking Tony to spoonfeed him what is basically a very simple idea is kinda uncharacteristic of him. Maybe I'm being too nitpicky. I've been a cranky fuck lately.

It's pretty cool that in the early days the family was worried about gambling cards and drug deals when by season 5 Tony is doing multi million dollar deals

Junior, the reason Tony came out with all this Augustus Octavian shit is because he wanted to be allegorical

Tony is a History Buff. He held forth on the Ceasars of Rome to Junior. Hesh: "Harry Truman" Tony: "Who the fuck is that?"
