My former wife and I were married to this song back in 1992, her best friend sang it a capella as my future bride walked down the aisle to meet me at the alter that beautiful day. Sadly, my wife would pass away in 2012, just 3 months short of our 20th wedding anniversary. To this day, this song always puts a smile on my face every time I hear it. i met tony terry in macon ga. he was to perform, and he was riding around town with a driver, in a limo. At random, he chose me. And he had the driver stop and asked me to ride with him for awhile. Of course I obliged. I was not afraid. for he imminenates a kindness, he is such a fine man. After I accepted, he ask me what was going on. I told him, he was performing today? And that is why i was downtown to see him and others perform. Macon has a street party every year and lots of high profile singers and bands are booked. He smiled and I ask him about this song. Who the song was written for? He told me, hls new born daughter. And then the lyrics became clear to me. A 30 minutes later, he had his driver stop, in front of where he was performing. I thanked him for the ride, got out, met my man, and watched him perform. He is outstanding!

We had the best music though from Rap, to Heavy Metal and Rock, and the R&B was so damn good! Music was so pure, the talent was great, the producers like Babyface. Well almost everything, besides Vanilla Ice, Milli Vanilli, and Nirvana, the 90s was so bad ass, I used to turn the radio station when some of these songs were on because they were so common and I didn’t know how good I had it!
