i met tony terry in macon ga. he was to perform, and he was riding around town with a driver, in a limo. At random, he chose me. And he had the driver stop and asked me to ride with him for awhile. Of course I obliged. I was not afraid. for he imminenates a kindness, he is such a fine man. After I accepted, he ask me what was going on. I told him, he was performing today? And that is why i was downtown to see him and others perform. Macon has a street party every year and lots of high profile singers and bands are booked. He smiled and I ask him about this song. Who the song was written for? He told me, hls new born daughter. And then the lyrics became clear to me. A 30 minutes later, he had his driver stop, in front of where he was performing. I thanked him for the ride, got out, met my man, and watched him perform. He is outstanding!
