Just in case someone else follow this tutorial in a sightly different way, cause I did and got some problems. As you can see he has a small input and output looping animation, it's important to do it this way because while for other settings a loopOut expresion works and for looping a path there's also a more complicaed expresion you can find, that expresion breaks if you move the layer or the keys leaving some space before. So you are obligated to loop with a small composition and then precomp it if you want to loop the walk cycle.

Hello. After years of animating mostly analogue, I wanted to give this a try. I am a AF noob and hit the first rock after 2 minutes following your tutorial. I didn't find your illustration file for ducky, so quickly made my own bird (Head, Eyes, Arm, Body etc like yours), import the ai as seen in the video.. 1:15 and I create "shape from vector layer": the illustration is no more to be seen (I can toogle them visible again, but you delete them anyhow). However, the shapes don't show anything but blue boxes.. do I need to change some settings?

its amazing as a beginner to see how the magic works, was kinda confused on what you do with all the layers and how u manipulate each body part and how. Would be nice if you create a playlist of videos for beginners, to explain what does what and some tips, but other than that, hands down AMAZING!!!
